As China's economy continues to develop,the process of urbanization accelerates,and the openness of agriculture is also constantly improving,the development of China's agriculture is facing a variety of traditional and non-traditional challenges.The emergence of family farms provides new ideas and new channels for changing and promoting Chinese agricultural development.As an agricultural demonstration base in China,Chengdu is also striving to develop family farms and formulating policies to promote the development of family farms.In 2018,the Chengdu Family Farm Association was established to create a good development environment for the development of family farms in Chengdu.The number of family farms is still relatively small compared to the resources owned by the Chengdu area itself.In order to improve the willingness of farmers to start family farms and promote the development of family farms in Chengdu,it is imperative to understand the factors affecting the willingness of farmers in Chengdu to start family farms.The theoretical basis of this paper is the theory of scale economy,incentive theory and theory of planned behavior.The stratified sampling survey method is adopted to issue questionnaires and interview to the surveyed respondents,collect survey information and use SPSS software to process the collected data,use the correlation coefficient test method to filter the variables,and then construct a binary logistic regression model to explain the direction and effect of different factors on the willingness of Chengdu farmers to start family farms.The sample survey shows that 138 households are willing to open family farms,and 80 households are reluctant to open family farms,the gender,risk-taking,agricultural attitude,scale of business attitude,family planting scale,land transfer behavior,relatives and friends working in the government or village committee,and understanding of the agricultural market information on the farmer's willingness to start a family farm have a significant impact.In response to the research results,this paper proposes policy recommendations: First,comprehensively deepen the cognition of family farms and raise the willingness of farmers to start family farms;Second,improve the agricultural quality of farmers and cultivate new professional farmers;Third,improve the land transfer system to ensure the stability of family farm land;Fourth,establish and improve agricultural socialization services,then improve the agricultural insurance system and reduce agricultural risks;Fifth,increase the policy support and publicity of family farms,and increase the enthusiasm of farmers to start family farms;Sixth,establish an information sharing platform for agricultural markets and enrich agricultural product sales channels.
