An Analysis Of The Family Farms' Willingness Of Land Scale Operation And The Influencing Factors In Lin'an City

Scale Management of farmland was one of effective way to improve the efficiency of agricultural production and develop modern agriculture.As a new type of the main body of agricultural management to promote agricultural modernization and scale,the family farm revealed a strong vitality in practice.In order to provide important practical experience for the healthy development of the family farm,farmland scale operation smoothly and a reference basis for the development of the family farm in other regions,the development effectiveness was described and the willingness of land scale operation and its influencing factors were analyzed in this paper.According to the sampling survey data of 101 family farmers from 50 villages of 8 towns in Lin'an city,Zhejiang province,the correlation between land scale and cost-benefit of different planting types of family farms in Lin'an were analyzed and the willingness of land scale operation and the factors that might affect the willingness were analyzed in depth by the four aspects including basic features of family farmers,family endowment,economic characteristics and the external conditions of Binary Logistic Regression Model.The results indicated that the cost-benefit of different planting types of family farms were different,but the overall operating income of the family farms were generally higher.The government subsidy policies had an impact on the management benefit of the family farms but the guiding role was not very obvious.Land scale and gross income,total expenditure,the input-output ratio of family farms had a positive correlation,the degree of correlation was different due to different planting types.There are four variables have a significant impact on the willingness of land scale operation,agricultural technology had a significant positive impact on the willingness,family farmers whose equity funds could meet the agriculture production had stronger willingness of scale operation and government subsidies also had a positive impact on it,while the aging problem of family farmers was against the expansion of operating scale.Based on the results of the study,some suggestions are put forward,such as to improve the social service system;to innovate finance system;to attract young people to rural areas;to strengthen the effectiveness of policies and so on.It is expected to promote scale management and scientific and reasonable development of family farm.
