Study On Cucumber Production And Total Factor Productivity In Hebei Province

Hebei cucumber industry plays an important role in vegetable production in the whole province.Yield,sown area and yield per unit area are second only to Chinese cabbage.It is an important industry for increasing income and earning foreign exchange in agriculture.With the gradual acceleration of agricultural industrialization,the cucumber industry in Hebei Province is facing an important historical period of transformation and upgrading.The fierce competition in the domestic market puts forward higher requirements for the cucumber production in Hebei Province.How to effectively improve the cost-effectiveness and total factor productivity of cucumber production in Hebei Province and the competitive advantage of Cucumber in the national market has become an urgent problem to be solved in the development of cucumber industry in Hebei Province.In this paper,the cucumber industry in Hebei Province is taken as the research object,through comparing the cucumber industry scale,production layout,planting mode and main body construction in Hebei Province,the production status of Cucumber in Hebei Province is analyzed;secondly,the cucumber in Hebei Province,Hebei Province and other main cucumber producing provinces,and the cucumber advantage areas of Hebei Province are formed from two angles of cost composition and cost-benefit.Thirdly,the Malmquist index method of DEA was used to calculate the total factor productivity and its decomposition index of Cucumber in Hebei Province.Finally,some countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to promote the development of cucumber production in Hebei Province.Through the analysis,it is found that: firstly,the cucumber industry in Hebei Province has obvious advantages in scale and plays a decisive role in the whole country;secondly,the industrial layout is reasonable and has formed a development pattern of "one belt,three districts" after years of development;thirdly,the cultivation mode has changed from extensive to intensive,the proportion of facilities cultivation is obvious,the stubble arrangement is scientific and reasonable,which can meet the annual production balance supply;Fourthly,all kinds of business entities have diversified development trend,leading enterprises have obvious driving capacity;Fifthly,the income of Cucumber Planting has declined significantly,and the rapid rise of labor cost,material and service cost is the mainlimiting factor affecting cucumber yield increase and income increase;Sixthly,affected by the decline of technological progress,the total factor productivity of open-field cucumber in Hebei Province has declined from 2011 to 2017,while in 2017,the total factor productivity of open-field cucumber has declined.The comprehensive technical efficiency of open-field cucumber in Hebei Province is the best,and the investment is relatively reasonable.Affected by the decline of comprehensive efficiency,the total factor productivity of facility cucumber in Hebei Province declined from 2011 to 2017,and there was excessive investment in the comprehensive technical efficiency of facility cucumber in Hebei Province in 2017.The innovations of this paper are mainly manifested in two aspects: First,this paper is based on the background of the construction of characteristic cucumber dominant areas in Hebei Province.This paper compares and analyses the cucumber production status of characteristic cucumber dominant areas in Hebei Province by means of investigation and research methods,which has strong practical significance and innovation.Secondly,based on the spatial and temporal distribution,the cost-benefit method was used to compare the production cost composition and cost-benefit of Cucumber in different regions and at different times.The total factor productivity of cucumber was determined by DEA index analysis method,which provided more reference for improving quality and efficiency of cucumber production in Hebei Province.
