Since the 1980s,along with the development of science and technology, the wave of globalization has been continuously promoted, and the international division of labor and trade forms have undergone tremendous changes, highlighting the increasing cross-border flow of factors of production, especially capital, and the global The continuous increase of product trade has transformed the international division of labor from the traditional inter-industry and intra-industry division of labor to the division of labor within the product, forming a new form of international division of labor-the global value chain division of labor. In the context of globalization, embedding global value chains, participating in international division of labor, and cultivating production clusters have become important means for developing countries to achieve rapid regional economic development.China and ASEAN countries are embedded in the Global Value Chain(GVC)by virtue of their cheap labor, but they are basically at the low end of GVC.Based on this, this paper starts from the perspective of value-added trade, based on the theory of global value chain upgrading and the theory of industrial cooperation.Firstly, through the literature analysis method, the paper on the global value chain upgrade of China and ASEAN from the perspective of value-added trade at home and abroad.Secondly, comparative analysis is used to analyze the development status and cooperation status of China and ASEAN countries to determine their respective comparative advantages.Thirdly, the KPWW method is used to measure the status and participation of China and ASEAN countries in GVC,and the countries are clearly defined. The dominant industry; Finally, the relationship between economic differences and GVC location and the impact of GVC location on cooperation are analyzed, and recommendations for cooperation and upgrade are proposed accordingly. The conclusions drawn from the study of this paper are as follows:The development of border trade between China and ASEAN is very stable, and the trade partnership is very stable. The structure of export products between China and ASEAN is very similar, and the export competition of mechanical and electrical products is very strong.China is the main source of value-added value of export products of ASEAN countries, and its dependence on the Chinese market is greater than that of China to ASEAN.The degree of market dependence,China has a certain comparative advantage over the ASEAN countries in the division of labor between the manufacturing and service industries in the global value chain.China and ASEAN countries in the global value chain upgrade, blindly embedded in the global value chain without upgrading the industry and improving competitiveness, will be of no use to the status of the global value chain, and even fall into the "low-end lock" Impeding its development;improving the level of technology may lead to an increase in unemployment in the short term, but in the long run,it will promote the global value chain upgrade of China and ASEAN countries, but it may also cause it to fall into the"resource curse".In the phenomenon of "excessive physical capital formation may have a large "crowding out effect" on private investment and affect the upgrading of the value chain;a good financial environment and effective foreign investment are all promoting the global value chain of China and ASEAN.
