Urban economic hinterland is an area that plays a leading role in the social and economic connection between urban center and surrounding areas because of the attraction of urban center and the influence of radiation on surrounding environment.The evolution of urban economic hinterland pattern is closely related to the dynamic change of urban built-up land.The coordinated development of the two is of great significance to the healthy and sustainable development of new urbanization.The lower reaches of the Yellow River is an important river basin economic zone and a strategic area for the promotion of new urbanization in China.The research on the relationship between urban built-up land and economic hinterland in the lower reaches of the Yellow River is helpful to promote the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,and also has a positive reference for regions with similar development status.Based on this,this paper takes the lower reaches of the Yellow River as the research area,using a variety of research methods,such as expansion coefficient of built-up land,field strength model,social network analysis,coupling and coordinated development model,geographical detector,etc.,to study the driving factors of the spatial-temporal change pattern and characteristics,development relationship and development relationship transformation of urban built-up land and economic hinterland in the region from 2005 to 2017.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)From 2005 to 2017,the gap of urban built-up land area in the lower reaches of the Yellow River is gradually increasing,and the variation characteristics are obviously different.In 2005,2011 and 2017,the cities with the largest built-up land area were Jinan,Jinan and Zhengzhou,while the cities with the smallest construction land area were Zhoukou,Puyang and Zhoukou,with the largest area being 7.222,8.077 and 8.655 times of the minimum.In terms of change characteristics,Jining and Dezhou have the fastest expansion speed in 2005-2011 and 2011-2017,with the expansion speed coefficients of 19.734% and 19.750% respectively.Zhengzhou has the highest expansion strength,with the expansion strength coefficients of 1.855% and 2.250% respectively.Zhengzhou is still the city with the largest expansion scale,with the expansion scale coefficients of 19.464% and 20.305% respectively.The speed of unbalanced expansion of urban built-up land in Henan is faster than that of balanced expansion of urban built-up land in Shandong.(2)From 2005 to 2017,the spatial and temporal distribution pattern of the economic hinterland area of each city in the lower reaches of the Yellow River was significantly different,and the change characteristics of the economic hinterland of each city were significantly polarized.The economic hinterland of Zhengzhou and Jinan has always covered most areas of the lower Yellow River,and jointly determined the distribution pattern of the economic hinterland of the lower Yellow River.Cities close to or near Zhengzhou and Jinan are far from enough to cover their own economic hinterland,while cities far away from the two core cities suffer less squeeze effect.In terms of change characteristics,the economic hinterland connection between cities in Henan Province has weakened from 2005 to 2017,and that between cities in Shandong Province has strengthened.In 2005,the economic radiation effect of Jinan Dezhou and Zhengzhou Jiaozuo was the most obvious,and the radiation degree reached 81.570% and 79.710% of the administrative area of Dezhou and Jiaozuo respectively;In 2011,the economic radiation effect of Zhengzhou Jiaozuo and Jinan Dezhou was the largest,and the radiation degree reached 80.742% and 77.370% of the administrative area of Jiaozuo and Dezhou respectively;In 2017,Jinan Dezhou and Zhengzhou Kaifeng played the most significant role in economic radiation,reaching 75.681% and 72.295% of the administrative divisions of Dezhou and Kaifeng respectively..Zhengzhou City and Jinan City have a strong radiation effect in the interaction network of economic hinterland,Heze City has the strongest intermediary effect in the interaction network of economic hinterland.(3)From 2005 to 2017,the overall coordinated development level of urban built-up land and economic hinterland in the lower reaches of the Yellow River is not high,but the overall coordination has improved.The overall coupling of urban built-up land and economic hinterland in the whole research area is gradually strengthened.Most cities are in the type of mild maladjustment,on the verge of maladjustment and barely coordinated development.Cities in the rising mode are mainly changing from maladjustment to coordination,while cities in the declining mode are all changing in coordination,and the number of cities in the rising mode is more than that in the declining mode.The cities of ascending mode are Xuchang,Dezhou,Binzhou,Heze and Jining,while the cities of descending mode are Shangqiu,Tai'an,Zibo and Zhengzhou,and the rest remain unchanged.(4)From 2005 to 2017,the influencing factors and the degree of influence that drive the change of the relationship between urban built-up land and economic hinterland development in the lower reaches of the Yellow River are constantly changing.In 2005,the influencing factors and the degree of influence are the area of urban residential land,the population of the municipal district,the area of built-up area,the number of college students,the total retail sales of social consumer goods,the number of mobile phone users at the end of the year,etc.In 2011,the total retail sales of social consumer goods,the number of urban employees,the number of college students in school,the proportion of urban population in the total population,the number of public vehicles(electric vehicles)operating at the end of the year in the municipal district,the area of urban residential land,etc.In 2017,it was transformed into total retail sales of social consumer goods,built-up area,population of municipal districts,number of urban employees,number of college students,proportion of tertiary industry output value,etc.Moreover,these influencing factors are interlaced and mutually strengthened,and the influence on the relationship between urban built-up land and economic hinterland development is mutually enhanced.
