As a space-bearing factor for the development of the tertiary industry,the commercial land has effectively attracted external investment due to its scale expansion,accelerated the agglomeration of the labor force,and significantly improved the level of regional economic development.In recent years,the large-scale expansion of commercial land in China has reflected on one hand the large amount of land demand driven by the overall economic development of our country,especially the development of the tertiary industry.On the other hand,it also shows that the expansion of the scale of commercial land in our country is too fast,use relatively extensive.Taking the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as a research unit,this paper reveals the spatial and temporal characteristics of the scale of commercial land and the level of economic development in the urban agglomeration.Through the construction of a panel var model,this study explores the differential dynamic mechanism of commercial land scale and economic development in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River during different stages and regions.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The economic level of the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River shows a relatively large degree of growth.The economic scale,the development of the tertiary industry,and the level of urbanization all have significant improvements.From the perspective of spatial distribution,the economic development of Wuhan City Circle and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration is faster than that of the Poyang Lake urban agglomeration.From the point of view of spatial distribution,the process of expanding the scale of commercial land in the Poyang Lake urban agglomeration has undergone more dramatic changes.The Wuhan City Circle and the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration are relatively flat.(2)There are obvious differences in the economic base,the degree of urbanization,the development level and the path of the tertiary industry between the Wuhan city circle,the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration and the Poyang Lake urban agglomeration.Therefore,the coupling degree of the commercial land with the economic scale and the coupling degree of the commercial land with development of the tertiary industry in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River will also show more obvious spatial differences.According to the spatial distribution,the economic scale and the tertiary industrial output value transmission rate of Wuhan city circle and the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration are higher than the commercial land scale expansion transmission rate,while the economic scale and the tertiary industrial output value transmission rate of the Poyang Lake urban agglomeration is basically the same as the commercial land scale expansion transmission rate.(3)There are significant spatial differences between the impact degree of commercial land on economic scale,the development of the tertiary industry and the level of urbanization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.Compared to Poyang Lake urban agglomeration,the commercial land scale of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration has a significant impact on the economic scale and the development of the tertiary industry.This shows that the commercial land use of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration is highly efficient and intensive,while the economic output benefit of the commercial land in Poyang Lake urban agglomeration is low.From the perspective of urbanization development,the influence of the commercial land on the urbanization level of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration is weakened,while the Poyang Lake urban agglomeration is in a state of continuous improvement.Therefore,the urbanization development of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration tends to get rid of the dependence on the scale of the commercial land,and the urbanization development of the Poyang Lake urban agglomeration still depends on the influence factors of the scale expansion of the commercial land.
