Small and medium-sized enterprises play an important role in the development of China's national economy.The products made in China are also spread all over the world,but the overall positioning of products is still at the middle and low level,with lower recognition or added value.It is imperative for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to realize economic transformation through scientific and technological innovation.It is of great significance to explore technological innovation approaches and methods suitable for traditional small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.Through decades of follow-up investigation on B Continuous Mould Company,a typical small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprise,this paper USES case method,literature method and investigation method to cite relevant technology innovation theories,and analyzes the current situation,difficulties and problems of its technological innovation from multiple angles and levels.It is found that there are many problems such as lack of motivation for innovation and insufficient market exploration.Due to the rising cost pressure and huge market competition pressure,the current situation of enterprises implementing cost minimization and market maximization technological innovation is adopted.Combined with the existing technological innovation resources of the enterprise,the direction and approach of technological innovation in the future are finally determined for the enterprise.The establishment of corresponding security system is also the content of this paper.Research shows that:After developing for a period of time,the small and medium-sized enterprises have initially accumulated a certain amount of internal resources.To obtain a greater competitive advantage,more stable market share and the corresponding excess profits,they should strengthen the cooperation with scientific research institutes to improve their management and manufacturing ability.Also they should establish a virtual dynamic enterprise alliance positively with upstream and downstream enterprises to improve their own technological innovation ability.Strengthening market segmentation actively and integrating with regional industrial clusters is the way to enhance our core competitiveness,and to achieve transformation and upgrading.Extending the validity to traditional small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises,the research on technological innovation approach and implementation is of great significance for their positive transformation and upgrading in the progress of economy development.
