Realizing a moderate scale operation of agricultural land is an effective way to promote the development of modern agriculture.Although the household contract responsibility system for joint production has brought a lot of social performance to China's agricultural development,it has also led to the problem of small and scattered cultivated land area. This has increased the cost of farmland management, reduced the scale of rural land, and is not conducive to the development of modern agriculture. At the same time, with the accelerating process of agricultural modernization in China and the large number of rural laborers migrating, the machinery and equipment for agricultural production have become more and more perfect. At the same time, the circulation of farmland has also become relatively frequent.Nowadays, advancing the modest management of agricultural land conforms to the trend of development.Developing moderately scaled farmland management can optimize the input of production factors, increase labor productivity, help increase the supply of agricultural products and ensure food security, and help to promote advanced production technologies and increase the income of rural households. This paper explores the appropriate scale of operation to understand the current scope of agricultural land management under the current economic and technological conditions. It can also regulate the behavior of farmland circulation, effectively increase the income of farmers, and also provide reference standards for the development of appropriate scale for the study area.On this basis, the authors empirically studied the influencing factors of moderate-scale operation of agricultural land, tried to find the obstacles, and made a case for remedying the disease and scientifically promoting moderate scale operation of farmland.Based on the field survey data of 665 farmers in Jiangxi Province, this study first used the C-D production function to construct a profit model for production, and measured the moderation of farmland management scale from the point of view of maximizing rice output profits.Secondly,by constructing the Tobit model, the empirical test of the factors affecting the moderate scale operation of farmland. Finally, according to the research results, the corresponding policy recommendations are proposed. This article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, covering the research background and problems proposed, research objectives and content, methods and technical routes, possible innovations and deficiencies. The second chapter elaborates the theoretical basis, and makes a literature review. The literature review mainly summarizes the relationship between business scale and productivity, the study of appropriate business scale, the study of appropriate operating scale evaluation criteria, the study of the factors affecting moderate scale operations, and the scale management.Literature on environmental impact and other aspects. The third chapter mainly introduces the research area overview and variable description analysis. It describes and analyzes variables such as household heads and their family characteristics, farmland characteristics, external environment characteristics, and property rights characteristics, and obtains appropriate scale of operations based on profit maximization perspective.Analyze the influence factors of moderate business. The fourth chapter, based on field survey data, measures the appropriate management scale of farmland, and measured the moderate rice operation scale in Jiangxi Province within the range of 40-80 mu,and there is a significant increase in the scale of returns. The fifth chapter is to empirically analyze the factors affecting the moderate scale operation. The results show that variables such as the present value of agricultural assets, whether the householder has received agricultural skills training, the size of the initial agricultural land, whether the land transfer information is open and transparent, and whether there is a land adjustment experience all have a significant positive effect on the modest management of farmland. The identity of the head of the household have a significant negative inhibitory effect on the appropriate scale of operations. In the sixth chapter, based on the previous research results, the main conclusions of the full text are summarized:(1)There is a phenomenon of increasing returns to scale in rice cultivation in the study area. This paper combines the preliminary results of statistical analysis of sample data, and the estimation results of rice profit models based on profit maximization, and estimates that the appropriate scale of rice cultivation in the sample area is 40-80 mu.Within this range of operation scale, rice production has an obvious trend of increasing returns to scale;(2)Household owners receive agricultural skills training and the present value of agricultural assets will promote the promotion of moderate-scale operations.(3)Open and transparent cirulation information helps to promote moderate scale operations.(4)Farmers with land adjustment experience are more likely to achieve moderate scale operations. Finally,on the basis of the above findings, the following policy recommendations are drawn:In the hilly and mountainous regions represented by Jiangxi, human capital and financial capital are insufficient, and information asymmetry may be an important factor affecting the operation of small-scale rice operations to a moderate scale.Local governments at all levels should strengthen the training of farmers, cultivate new-type professional farmers, increase the subsidies for agricultural appliances, and should jointly promote the appropriate scale operation of rice cultivation in the publicity of land transfer information.
