The Research On The Influence Of The Industry Cluster On The Status Of Manufacturing Global Value Chain

China has already becomed the world's largest manufacturing country,but there is still a long way to go before it becomes a "strength manufacturing country".Improving the position of the global value chain of manufacturing is a problem that must be solved to achieve "strength manufacturing country".Industrial cluster is the most significant geographical feature of economic activity.it is also the reflection of the productivity and competitive advantages of a country or region.Industrial cluster areas are embedded into global value chains in different ways in the process of economic globalization.The 19th National Congress's report pointed out that promoting the position of the global value chain of china's manufacturing must cultivating several advanced manufacturing clusters first,which revealed the intrinsic link between value chain upgrading and industrial cluster to a certain extent.In numerous literature studies,scholars have used national and regional-level manufacturing data to test and found that manufacturing industry cluster can significantly enhance its position in global value chain.However,these literatures rarely have empirical tests and researches of the subdivision manufacturing sectors at the international level.Based on the above background,this paper uses the data of 9 subdivision manufacturing sectors of 49 economies from 2005 to 2015 for analysis and empirical testing.After analyzing and discussing the mechanism of industrial cluster affecting the position of global value chains and their measurement methods,with the help of the fixed-effect and random-effect MLE models,it was found that the manufacturing industry cluster has different degrees of positive impact of global value chain position in the different manufacturing sectors,and has a relatively large impact on the three sub-sectors under the knowledge and technology-intensive sector.Based on the above research,this article divides the nine subdivided sectors into three categories:labor,capital,and knowledge and technology-intensive sectors according to factor density.It is found that after the sector integration,the manufacturing industry cluster has a relatively large impact on the capital-intensive sector.This article further divides all the economies into developed and developing economies and tests them separately to enhance the robustness of the above test results.It was found that the manufacturing industry cluster has different degrees of positive impact on the global value chain position of the two types of economies,and has a relatively large impact of promoting the global value chain position of developed economies than of developing economies.After examining and analyzing the data at the international level,this article makes a specific analysis of the level of China's manufacturing industry cluster and the status of the global value chain and puts forward some suggestions on 'how to bring manufacturing industry cluster into full play to promote the status of manufacturing global value chains'.
