Analysis Of The Influence Of OFDI On China's Industrial Green Technological Innovation

In the background of a new round of industrial revolution all around the world,green technological innovation,powered by energy conservation and emission reduction,has attracted more and more attention.China's green technological innovation development started late,so its foundation is relatively weak.If China wants to catch up with the developed countries whose technology is cutting-edge in this field,China should increase the domestic R&D investment intensity to improve the domestic independent innovation capability.At the same time,China should absorb the spillover of technology and knowledge from developed countries to supplement China's green technological innovation.With the accelerated implementation of China's outward expansion strategy,China's outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)is in a rapid development stage.The green technological spillover obtained from host country through OFDI is playing an increasingly prominent role in China's green technological innovation.However,the research on the relationship between foreign direct investment and home country's green technological innovation is relatively little.At present,the academic research on green technological innovation mostly focuses on the definition,measurement and influence factors.However,scholars have not reached an agreement.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the efficiency indicators and influence factors of green technological innovation in depth based on the previous research.Under such a background,this paper summarized the research literature in the field of green technological innovation,OFDI theory and the technology spillover effect as well as the impact of OFDI on green technological innovation in home country to clarify the research contents and methods of relevant scholars.The literature review brought a new research idea for this paper.At the same time,the paper introduced the green technological spillover mechanism of OFDI to clarify the impact path of OFDI on China's industrial green technological innovation so that it laid the theoretical foundation for the following empirical analysis.If we want to find out the influence factors of green technological innovation,we should make clear the measurement standard of green technological innovation firstly.This paper selected the relevant variables of initial input?intermediate output and final output are to build the index system.It applied the basic model of DEA and two-stage chain network DEA model to measure the overall efficiency and two-stage efficiency of industrial green technological innovation of China's provinces,cities and autonomous regions.The research findings revealed that China's overall efficiency of green technological innovation was relatively low,and the efficiency of green technological innovation varied greatly among regions.By measuring the efficiency of research stage and achievement transformation stage and then decomposing the technical efficiency,the result suggested that the reasons for low innovation efficiency among regions were quite different.Then,the paper analyzed the impact of OFDI technology spillover and other factors on China's green technological innovation and then used Tobit model to do an empirical analysis.By way of the regression of the influence factors of the overall efficiency of green technological innovation,it could be found that China effectively obtained the technological spillover of developed countries through OFDI during the investigation period,and it could cause the technology progress through the overseas subsidiaries learning?absorbing and transferring the advanced technology of host country.At the same time,FDI accepted by China promoted innovation efficiency through demonstration and competition effects as well as import&export enterprises promoted innovation efficiency through trade channels.The upgrading of industrial structure,economic development and environmental regulation of the government also influenced the progress of green technology.Then,we explored the differences among the influence factors of green technological innovation in the East,the middle and the West.In addition,this paper further analyzed the influence factors of each stage in the innovation process.Finally,the paper not only summarized the research conclusion,but also offered several opinions and proposal to enhance the efficiency of China's green technological innovation to realize the coordinated development of China's economic and environment.
