The central China is an important place to undertake a new round of industrial transfer, the spatial reconfiguration of production factors provides a historical opportunity for the rise of the central region. At the same time, the relatively low innovation capacity of the central region has become an important constraint to high-quality economic development. The central region to undertake industrial transfer and innovation output of how the temporal and spatial pattern of evolution? Can the new round of industrial transfer enhance the innovation output of the place where it is undertaken? The answer to this question, theoretically enrich the new round of industrial transfer to undertake the research on the impact of innovation,in practice to accelerate the industrial restructuring and transformation and upgrading, the new round of the rise of the central region is of great significance.Against the background of the social practice of undertaking industrial transfer and the real demand of low innovation output and the urgent need to expand innovation output in the central region, the article uses industrial enterprise data and patent application data as the basis to draw the evolution of the spatial and temporal pattern of undertaking industrial transfer and innovation output in the central region through spatial statistics, and empirically demonstrates the role of industrial transfer in innovation output through the spatial Durbin model;combined with the empirical results, the article makes relevant recommendations and analyzes the shortcomings of the article, and gives a prospect for future research. We make relevant suggestions, analyze the shortcomings of this paper, and make a prospect for future research. The main conclusions reached are as follows.(1)The central region to undertake industrial transfer has a stage-by-stage characteristic, before 2005 the proportion of the central region's manufacturing output value showed the characteristics of floating growth;absolute differences among provinces within a certain range of fluctuations, but the relative differences continue to decrease. The amount of industry transfer at the city level, its relative difference continues to decrease and the absolute difference continues to increase, but the trend of change in both tend to calm down, spatially shows that most of the city industry transfer into and some of the city transfer out of the situation of coexistence;with the characteristics of first gathering and then dispersion, the distribution of high and low values between cities lack regularity, statistical significance is low.(2)The Central Region's innovation output, which grew most significantly in Anhui between 2005 and 2013,is leading the Central Region.Henan,Hubei and Hunan are basically at the midstream level.Prior to 2010,the relative differences between provinces and regions were decreasing and the absolute differences were increasing slightly. After 2010,however,the relative and absolute differences between provinces and regions increased significantly due to the significant increase in output in Anhui Province.Absolute quantitative differences in innovation output between municipalities are increasing;however, relative differences are decreasing. The high value area of innovation output is from the vicinity of Changsha in Hunan to the vicinity of Hefei in Anhui;the spatial variation is significant and the polarization pattern is obvious;it shows a discrete development first and then a clustering pattern.(3)The direct effects of the spatial Durbin model show that: industry transfer does have a positive effect on the promotion of local innovation output;and there are more obvious individual effects, and the degree to which different regions undertake industry transfer on innovation output promotion varies. The complexity of the impact of the degree of openness to the outside world on local innovation output shows an overall negative impact. The role of government shows positive facilitation, and the differential behavior of governments across regions affects innovation output inconsistently.(4)The indirect effects of the spatial Durbin model show that industrial transfer has a degree of negative spillover effects in space, with a negative impact on the innovation output of neighboring regions, and that local take-over of industrial transfer can relatively weaken the industrial production activities of neighboring regions, thereby reducing their chances of technological progress and innovation activities. The impact of the degree of openness to the outside world on innovation activities in the Central Region is more complex, but not significant in general terms. There is a positive spillover effect on the spatial role of government, with a competitive posture among regional governments that encourages innovative behavior, but the overall significance is weaker due to significant individual differences.
