Research On Spatial Differences Of Urban Innovation Output And Its Influencing Factors

With the continuous enhancement of innovation consciousness,the increase of innovation investment,the continuous optimization of innovation structure,the quantity and quality level of innovation output are continuously improving in China.According to the 2017 data released by the World Intellectual Property Organization,China's international patent applications surpassed Japan,becoming the second-ranked country in the world,and maintaining double-digit growth.However,there is still a clear distance from the level of innovation in developed countries in the world.At the same time,there is still an imbalance in the distribution of innovation capabilities among regions.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the distribution differences and influencing factors of innovation output in space.Based on the analysis of a large number of documents,this paper sorts out relevant literatures on innovation output spatial differences and influencing factors at home and abroad.Then based on the statistical data of 2004-2016,this paper takes 285 cities nationwide as the research object,based on the invention patent,utility model patent and design patent,and uses the entropy method to calculate the innovation comprehensive score to represent the innovation output according to the difference of innovation content.The country is divided into Eastern,Northeast,Central and Western,and the spatial differentiation pattern of the innovation output of China's cities and the status quo of the influencing factors are analyzed.The empirical results show that:(1)Compared with the level of innovation output in China,there is a significant improvement in the level of innovation output than 2004.The overall “T” type consists of the eastern coastal areas and the Yangtze River.There is still a significant gap between the regions.(2)The innovation output of national cities has obvious spatial correlation,and the spatial structure of innovation activities has a locking effect.(3)Nationally,the spatial spillover effect of innovation output is obvious,and the scientific and technological practitioners,education level,industrial foundation and degree of informatization have obvious promoting effects on urban innovation output.Fixed asset investment has a squeezing effect on the improvement of innovation output in China.At the same time,the role of government policy support in promoting urban innovation output in China is not obvious.Foreign direct investment will promote the increase of innovation output in surrounding cities.The direct,indirect and total effects of spatial spillover of industrial base and informatization degree are obvious.(4)The influence of various factors on innovation output in different regions is different.Each region should combine the specific conditions of the region when upgrading the level of innovation output.Finally,this paper puts forward some targeted suggestions based on the research conclusions.
