Innovation plays a decisive role in the development of science and technology and economy in a country,innovation output is important for the core competitiveness of a country,improving the level of innovation output has always been an important task for our country.At present,due to historical and geographical factors,the level of innovation in each region varies,but they are actively taking measures to increase regional innovation output,such as optimizing the regional manufacturing industry structure.Global manufacturing transfer practice has verified that manufacturing transfer can promote national innovation output.Scholars in China have also begun to study whether manufacturing transfer between different regions in the country can promote the improvement of innovation output.However,scholars have not yet reached a unified view.Regarding the relationship between manufacturing transfer and innovation,most of the existing literature focuses on the impact of foreign direct investment on the level of innovation or on the impact of industrial transfer on innovation output in a certain region.The innovation spillovers of regional manufacturing transfer in order to provide a theoretical reference for manufacturing transfer in different regions of China.Based on the development status of China's manufacturing industry and innovation output,this article first sorts out related theoretical research on innovation output and manufacturing transfer,Based on the limitations of this study,based on scholars' research on manufacturing transfer,this article defines the regional innovation output in this article as regional innovation knowledge output,and is represented by the per capita patent index,defining the manufacturing transfer in this article includes both inward and outward transfers between manufacturing regions,the absolute value of manufacturing output value changes represents the transfer of various types of manufacturing.According to the density of manufacturing factors,manufacturing is divided into labor-intensive manufacturing,capital-intensive manufacturing,and technology-intensive manufacturing.Relevant data indicators show that the level of innovation output in various regions of China has continued to increase in recent years.Among them,the level of innovation output in the eastern region is higher,the growth rate in the central and western regions is faster,and the growth rate in the central region is the fastest,but its innovation outputis still much lower than the eastern region's.In the past 10 years,the product of various types of manufacturing in China has also continued to increase,the output value of technology-intensive manufacturing industries has increased rapidly,but the share of manufacturing output rises in some regions,some declines,the share of various types of manufacturing in the eastern region shows a downward trend,but it is still higher than the share of various types of manufacturing in the central and western regions.The share of various types of manufacturing in the central and western regions shows an upward trend,which increased the most in the central region.At present,China's manufacturing industry is developing rapidly,but there is still room for development in terms of manufacturing scale and manufacturing technology,and the level of innovation output in China is still far from that of developed countries.Therefore,this paper explores whether the manufacturing transfer between different regions in China can promote the increase of regional innovation output,with a view to making theoretical contributions to the promotion of regional innovation development.Based on scholars' research on influencing factors of innovation output and technological spillovers of manufacturing transfer,this article constructs the path of the mechanism of the impact of manufacturing transfer on innovation output.It is assumed that manufacturing transfer will affect regional innovation output through the regional innovation subject,innovation factors,and innovation environment,and the main influence mechanism of regional innovation subject includes the path of "imitationinnovation",the path of "competitive innovation",the path of "personnel flowinnovation",and the path of "related industries-innovation".This article explores the relationship between China's manufacturing transfer and regional innovation output from 2007 to 2016,and uses spatial Durbin models to empirically test the effects of capital-intensive manufacturing transfer,labor-intensive manufacturing transfer,and technology-intensive manufacturing transfer on different regions.The test results show that there are inter-regional interactions in innovation output among regions in China,which are significantly positive.The impact of various types of manufacturing transfer on regional innovation output is as follows:(1)The three types of local manufacturing transfers in the eastern region have a significant positive impact on local innovation output,of which technology-intensive manufacturing transfers have a greater impact.The transfer of labor-intensive manufacturing and technology-intensive manufacturing in neighboring provinces also promote local innovation output;(2)The transfer of local labor-intensive manufacturingand technology-intensive manufacturing in the central region has a significant positive impact on local innovation output.Among them,the labor-intensive manufacturing transfer has a larger impact coefficient.The transfer of technology-intensive manufacturing in adjacent regions has a significant impact on local innovation output;(3)The local technology-intensive manufacturing transferring and capital-intensive manufacturing transferring in the western region have a significant positive impact on local innovation output.The impact coefficient of technology-intensive manufacturing transfer is slightly larger,and the labor-intensive manufacturing transfer in neighboring provinces has a significant impact.Based on the data results,this paper recommends that the eastern region accelerate the transfer of capital-intensive manufacturing and technology-intensive manufacturing,and that the central region continue to plan for labor-intensive manufacturing and technology-intensive manufacturing shifts,and the western region
