As one of the main organizational forms for the future development of agricultural industry,the development of family farm is directly related to the prosperity of agricultural industry and the realization of rural revitalization strategy.Taking the family farm as the carrier to drive the farmers to start businesses and realize the transformation of farmers'identity is conducive to the farmers to get rich and promote the process of agricultural modernization.However,as a new type of agricultural operation subject,family farm still faces severe challenges in the process of development,such as lack of resources,lack of legitimacy,weak consciousness of entrepreneurial identity,etc.,which all affect the entrepreneurial performance of family farm to varying degrees and restrict the growth and development of family farm.It can be proved by practice that why a small number of family farms can achieve rapid growth and continue to exist,and this phenomenon deserves further study and full explanation.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the influence mechanism of family farm entrepreneurial performance.As the main operating body,the family farmer plays a key role in the establishment of the family farm.Many scholars have also focused on the impact of individual entrepreneurs on entrepreneurial performance,recognizing that being an entrepreneur may be an important factor in explaining why some people choose to start a family farm.However,the importance of identity in the process of entrepreneurial motivation has not been solved to a large extent,and the mainstream entrepreneurial studies have not paid much attention to the field of agricultural entrepreneurship.Especially in the field of agriculture,the identity of farmers is deeply rooted.For family farmers,their identity as farmers is deeply rooted,and they do not consider themselves as an entrepreneur or entrepreneur.So how does an entrepreneur's identity affect the entrepreneurial activities or outcomes of family farmers?Based on this,this study ADAPTS to the characteristics of the agricultural industry,applies the entrepreneurship theory to the context of family farm,and explores the realization path of the entrepreneurial performance of family farm.Based on the theory of identity and the theory of passionate entrepreneurship,this study took 237 family farms in hebei province as the research objects,introduced entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial patchwork as the intermediary variables,and studied the internal mechanism between the identity of entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Firstly,the connotation and dimension of relevant variables are defined by combing relevant literature.Secondly,on the basis of sorting out the basic theories such as identity theory and entrepreneurial patchwork theory,a theoretical model including entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial patchwork was constructed,and a research hypothesis was proposed.Thirdly,on the basis of pre-survey,formal survey and in-depth interview,SPSS and AMOS were used to conduct reliability and validity analysis,regression analysis and hypothesis testing of the recovered data.Fourth,draw the research conclusion and summarize the theoretical contribution and practical enlightenment of this research.At the same time,the deficiencies of this research are clarified and the research prospect is put forward.In this study,9 hypotheses were tested by Bootstrap method,and all hypotheses were verified and the following conclusions were obtained:first,entrepreneur identity positively affects family farm entrepreneurial performance;Second,it examines the mediating role of entrepreneurial passion.Entrepreneur identity has a significant positive impact on entrepreneurial passion,and entrepreneurial passion has a positive impact on the entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Entrepreneurial passion plays an intermediary role between the identity of entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Thirdly,the paper examines the mediating function of entrepreneurial patchwork.The identity of the entrepreneur has a positive effect on the entrepreneurial performance of the family farm.Entrepreneurial patchwork plays an intermediary role between the identity of entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial performance of family farms.Fourth,it examines the chain mediating function of entrepreneurial passion and entrepreneurial patchwork.Entrepreneurial passion has a positive effect on entrepreneurial patchwork,and entrepreneurial passion and patchwork have a chain mediating effect between entrepreneur identity and entrepreneurial performance of family farm.This study analyzes the internal mechanism between the identity of entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial performance of family farm,which has certain theoretical and practical significance.On the theoretical level,first,this study enriches the mainstream entrepreneurship theory.The differences between agricultural industry and general industry are clarified,and the entrepreneurial theory is applied to family farm to adapt to the characteristics of agricultural industry,which enriches the entrepreneurial theory.Second,this study deeply analyzed the internal mechanism of entrepreneur identity on family farm entrepreneurial performance,opened the "black box" between the two,and made up for the deficiency of the existing literature on the relationship between the two.In terms of practical enlightenment,this study provides theoretical guidance for the development of family farms and is conducive to promoting the prosperity of agricultural industry and rural revitalization.Family farm mainly improves the identity consciousness of entrepreneurs,realizes the transformation of farmer identity,exercises the entrepreneurial passion in difficult times,improves the consciousness of patchwork,and is good at developing the value of the resources at hand.Therefore,the research conclusion of this study is helpful for family farms to overcome difficulties and realize growth and even sustainable development.Innovation point:most of the current researches on entrepreneurs' identity mainly focus on new enterprises,and the research is based on the influence of collective recognition on entrepreneurial performance,ignoring how the identity of small and micro enterprises or entrepreneurs themselves affects entrepreneurial activities.In terms of content,previous studies have focused on the impact of entrepreneur identity on start-up business or entrepreneurial performance,but few have explored the direct impact or mechanism of entrepreneur identity on family farm entrepreneurial performance.Therefore,from the perspective of individual identity of family farmers and in combination with the entrepreneurial situation of family farms,the study on the mechanism of entrepreneur identity on the entrepreneurial performance of family farms can make up for the deficiency of existing studies.
