China's Agricultural Products Export Trade Potentiality Along The "Belt And Road" Countries

In September and October 2013,President Xi Jinping proposed the joint construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road",both of which are referred to as the "Belt and Road" initiative.The "Belt and Road" initiative aims at common development and the concept of sharing construction results and win-win cooperation.It has improved the level of cooperation in many fields such as economy,science,technology and culture,and promoted the more scientific and efficient allocation and use of factors.This is the deep integration of the industrial chains of the countries along the “Belt and Road”.The "Belt and Road" initiative contributes China's wisdom and strength to the development of the world economy.It not only provides opportunities for China's development,but also promotes global common development and prosperity.China has an excellent endowment of agricultural resources,and has become an important agricultural product exporting country in the world.Under the background of the “Belt and Road” initiative,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to study China 's agricultural export potential to countries along the route.First,this article defines the related concepts,and summarizes and sorts out related research at home and abroad.Second,this article analyzes the current status of China's agricultural export trade with countries along the route.Then,it selects 2008-2017 for a total of 10 years.Panel data,construct a stochastic frontier gravity model and trade inefficiency model to empirically study China 's agricultural export potential and its influencing factors to countries along the route,and at the same time,measure China 's export trade efficiency to various regions along the route and major agricultural products And export potential.The research results in this paper show that China 's average export efficiency of agricultural products to the countries along the “Belt and Road” is 0.42.From a geographical perspective,China 's export efficiency and potential to Southeast Asia countries such as Vietnam,Thailand,and Malaysia are relatively large,while China 's export efficiency of agricultural products in Turkmenistan,Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in Central Asia is relatively low.At the same time,India and Iran have a large import scale of Chinese agricultural products,but China's agricultural export efficiency to both countries is still at a low level.From the perspective of the types of agricultural products,the export efficiency and potential of vegetables and fruits are relatively large,while the export efficiency of fish and its products is relatively low,but it has a large export growth space in the future.In general,China's exports to countries,regions and major agricultural products along the route there is a significant difference in export efficiency,and the “Belt and Road” market has greater potential for export trade in agricultural products to be expanded.Finally,this article suggests that the implementation of the free trade zone strategy should be accelerated,reducing trade barriers,improving the quality and international competitiveness of China's export agricultural products,continuing to promote infrastructure construction,consolidating and improving bilateral trade promotion financial mechanisms,and giving full play to the activeness of relevant international organizations.Role to further tap China's agricultural export potential to countries along the Belt and Road.
