| On the basis of reviewing previous studies,this paper summarizes and analyzes the impact mechanism of transportation infrastructure investment on poverty reduction,and conducts an empirical study on the poverty reduction effect of transportation infrastructure investment based on the provincial panel data from 1990 to 2017.The empirical analysis results show that the poverty reduction effect of transportation infrastructure construction investment in China is significantly positive,that is,the transportation infrastructure construction investment is conducive to poverty reduction,which is also supported by the robustness test.At the same time,the poverty reduction effect of transportation infrastructure construction investment also has a significant intermediary effect,that is,the transportation infrastructure construction investment plays an indirect influence on poverty reduction through two channels of economic growth and income distribution effect.On the one hand,investment in transportation infrastructure promotes poverty reduction by promoting regional economic growth and raising household income.On the other hand,investment in transport infrastructure improves people's living standard and the availability of public services through the distribution effect,thus enhancing the effect of poverty reduction.Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations,points out that the transport infrastructure investment should stick to moderate principle,adhere to adjust measures to local conditions,continue to actively promote the construction of railways,highways and other transportation infrastructure,through transportation infrastructure construction to promote regional economic development,increasing the income of residents,the traffic infrastructure is still relatively weak,especially in the central and western regions should be more for the Midwest traffic infrastructure construction fund and policy support. |
