Research On The Satisfaction Of Farmers’ Participation In Professional Cooperatives Of N City

Farmers’ professional cooperatives,as the main body of operation to improve the scale and industrialization of agriculture and to connect small farmers to participate in market competition,have been widely concerned and recognized by the society,and supported by local governments as a new model of economic development.From the promulgation of the law of farmers’ professional cooperatives in 2007 to the revision of the new law in 2017,farmers’ professional cooperatives have experienced a rapid development period of ten years.By the end of July 2019,there are 2.207 million farmers’ professional cooperatives registered in the industrial and commercial departments according to law,with more than 100 million farmers joining in the cooperatives,accounting for more than half of the total number of farmers in the country.With the support of a series of national policies,farmers’ professional cooperatives has achieved remarkable results,and has become an important business entity to help poverty alleviation,agricultural modernization and rural revitalization.However,with the No.1 central document of 2019 putting forward the action of standardizing the improvement of farmers’ cooperatives to the eleven ministries jointly issuing the "opinions on the promotion and improvement of farmers’ cooperatives",they showed that there are still many problems in the professional farmers cooperatives.As "owners and patrons are the same",the majority of farmers are the last say on the development quality of farmers’ professional cooperatives.Their growing demand is the goal of the government to support the development of cooperatives.How satisfied they are with cooperatives can best reflect the gap in the development of cooperatives at this stage.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance for this paper to investigate the satisfaction of farmers in N city,analyze the main factors that affect the satisfaction,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the satisfaction.The main problems studied of this paper include: first,based on the literature review at home and abroad,starting from the essence of farmers’ professional cooperatives,combined with the research on the performance of cooperatives,it focuses on Farmers’ participation in cooperative satisfaction;combined with the actual development of farmers’ professional cooperatives in N city,four factors and 15 specific observation indicators that affect farmers’ satisfaction are put forward(cooperatives themselves image,internal governance,service and policy support).Second,the development of N city farmers’ professional cooperatives and related support policies are summarized.Thirdly,through the questionnaire and interview to investigate the satisfaction of farmers.After the reliability and validity analysis of the questionnaire,the descriptive statistical method is used to evaluate the current situation of satisfaction of farmers,and analyze the impact of individual characteristics of farmers and cooperative characteristics on satisfaction.The results show that the overall satisfaction level of farmers in N city is low,the satisfaction of policy support is the lowest,and the satisfaction of cooperatives’ own image is the highest;the age,education level and annual income of the individual characteristics of farmers significantly affect the overall satisfaction of farmers;the type of sponsors,the construction of demonstration cooperatives and brand construction in the characteristics of cooperatives have a significant impact on the satisfaction of farmers.Fourthly,structural equation model is used to analyze the influencing degree and relevance of the factors that affect the satisfaction of farmers,and find out the key influencing factors and paths.The conclusion is that policy support has the greatest impact on Farmers’ satisfaction,and cooperative service has the greatest direct impact on Farmers’ satisfaction.Among them,the fairness of internal distribution has the greatest impact on the satisfaction of internal governance of cooperatives,the convening of the general meeting of members and the disclosure of financial information also have a great impact;the growth of income and the resistance to market risks have a significant impact on the satisfaction of service of cooperatives;project support has the greatest impact on the satisfaction of policy support.Fifth,on the basis of descriptive statistical analysis and structural equation model quantitative analysis,this paper puts forward effective measures to improve the satisfaction of farmers.
