The current tariff war between China and the United States is intensifying. As the world's two largest economic and trading powers, this tariff war will undoubtedly add a lot of uncertainty to the development of the world economy.Recalling that since China joined the WTO in 2001,the scale of Sino-US trade in electronic goods has continued to expand, while the level of US tariffs on electronic goods from China has remained stable. As a high-tech industry in manufacturing goods,we ca n't help but ask : What is the tariff difference and the economic logic behind the Sino-US electronic commodity trade? In the context of the tariff war,how will Sino-US electronics trade develop? This article first introduces the general situation of Sino-US electronic commodities trade, the structure of Sino-US electronic commodities trade, and the division of labor between Chinese and US electronic commodities in the introduction to Chapter 1.Then Chapter 2 analyzes the impact of technological progress on the trade model in the context of comparative advantage, reviews the classic model of tariffs imposed by major powers, and also discusses the current frictions between China and the United States.Chapter 3 uses the CES utility function to describe the substitution of Chinese and American electronic commodities, and uses the Lagrange extremum method to solve the utility maximization problem under budget constraints to construct Chinese and American electronic commodities Trade model. The fourth chapter deals with the panel data of 6 21 electronic products of NAICS in 2002-2016.The fixed effect model and differential generalized moment estimation are used to analyze the changes and effects of US tariffs. The relationship between the average US tariffs on Chinese electronic goods imported from 2002 to 2016 and the customs value of Chinese goods exported to the US is not significant, but from the perspective of commodity structure, the use of US tariff policy tools is targeted and ranked high The export of Chinese electronic products to the United States has a restrictive effect. At the same time, the study also found that the top-ranking commodities of China's export value tended to fall under the influence of US tariffs.Chapter 5 summarizes the conclusions in theprevious article, and on this basis, puts forward appropriate suggestions to enhance the advantages of China's electronics industry, and gradually move towards the high-end status of the electronics industry.
