At present,China's economy has changed from the denotative growth to the connotative development,and the role of expanding consumption demand is increasingly prominent,and releasing the consumption potential of middle-income groups is an important starting point to promote consumption.This paper find that by teasing and combing relevant literature: most domestic and foreign scholars do relevant researches around these aspect: the concept of middle-income groups ? the role of middle-income groups in economic society ? the measure of improving middle-income groups' scales.There are few systematic analysis from the perspective of consumption.And then many papers are based on land regional data analysis in the previous literature,but this paper uses the latest national data which is more comprehensive,authoritative and credible.Thus,based on this background and practical significance,this paper focuses on the consumption of middle-income groups.First of all,This paper makes a complete grooming of the relevant research results at home and abroad,defines the concept and unitary classification of the middle-income group in China and summarizes the consumption characteristics factors affecting the consumption measures to improve the consumption of the middle-income group.Secondly,this paper describes briefly the consumption function theory,consumption credit theory and consumption decision-making theory for the following.After that,the paper has grasped mainly the consumption status of middle-income groups in China.For in-depth study,this paper makes a statistical analysis according to China's family financial data(CHFS2015),and analyze differences among different middle-income groups of gender,age,political outlook,education level,marriage status,region,income level,social security level and debt level and the differences in the consumption structure of different middle-income groups.Moreover,it empirically analyzes the decisive factors that affect the total consumption and sub consumption of middle-income groups through constructing the OSL model,the results show that:(1)income,educational level,debt'slevel,regional and social security factors have positive impacts on the total consumption expenditure while gender,age,political status and marital status have no significant impact on it.(2)From the perspective of sub consumption expenditure,income and social security level have significant impacts on all separating consumption expenditure,debt's level has positive impacts on housing,traffic communication,education and cultural entertainment,educational level has positive impacts on education and cultural entertainment,traffic communication,living goods and services and health care consumption,and region has positive impacts on education and cultural entertainment,health care and residential consumption.(3)The political status has a weak and positive impact on clothing consumption and marriage also has same impacts on transportation,communication,residential consumption,health care and other goods and services consumption.(4)debt's level has negative impacts on health care consumption,and age has same impact on clothing,transportation and communications,consumer goods and services,and education,cultural entertainment consumption.(5)Gender has no significant effect on food,housing,transportation and communication,daily necessities and services,and health care consumption.Finally,according to the research conclusion,this paper proposes the following measures to promote middle-income groups' consumption and economic transformation of our country steadily:(1)Improving the income and laying a solid foundation for the consumption of middle-income groups;(2)Accumulating cultural capital and providing upgrading power for the consumption of middle-income groups;(3)Promoting regional economy to be coordinated and urging middle-income groups' consumption level evenly;(4)completing the social security mechanism and stabilizing middle-income groups' consumption expectation;(5)perfecting the credit consumption mechanism and guiding the change of middle-income groups' consumption concept.
