Forced by rising domestic labor costs, increasing pressure on environmental protection regulations, and drastic changes in the international trade environment,Chinese paper exporters urgently need to increase their total factor productivity to respond to market pressures.Existing research shows that spatial agglomeration and factor mismatched enterprises have an important role in improving total factor productivity. However,it is difficult to obtain the exact impact of spatial agglomeration and factor mismatches on total factor productivity of paper export enterprises from the existing literature.Studies on the impact of mismatched TFP on paper export companies are even rarer. In view of this, based on the panel data of Chinese paper exporting enterprises from 1999 to 2013,this paper uses the model provided by Hsieh and Klenow(2007)to measure the labor error of Chinese paper exporting enterprises on the basis of measuring the total factor productivity of Chinese paper exporting enterprises.Allocation and capital mismatch, and the two-way fixed effect model is used to analyze the impact of spatial agglomeration and factor mismatch on the total factor productivity of Chinese paper export enterprises. The results show that no matter which method is used to calculate total factor productivity, spatial agglomeration has a significant positive impact on the total factor productivity of paper exporting enterprises. There is an inverse U-shaped relationship between capital mismatch and labor mismatch and total factor productivity of paper exporting enterprises. Moreover, spatial agglomeration can effectively improve the negative impact of factor mismatch on paper export enterprises.
