In the post crisis era when the world economic development is slowing down gradually,the traditional retail industry is impacted by the Internet of everything,which makes many enterprises face operating difficulties.The most typical one is that online e-commerce sales and marketing occupy enough market share,while offline physical store operation is impacted by online sales volume plummeting.This phenomenon makes a lot of offline traditional enterprises affected by rapid changes,such as large inventory,difficult external financing,high debt and other business characteristics make the transformation of operation mode imminent.The core of asset light operation mode is to concentrate the best quality resources into the links with high economic added value in the industrial chain,and other auxiliary businesses reduce investment or implement outsourcing.As a new type of capital strategy driven by value,this operation mode is gradually put into practice in all walks of life,"light assets" operation era has come.The topic of this paper comes from the financial statement information of Suning e-commerce.From the financial statements of Suning in 2014-2018,we can see that the enterprise is in a profitable State,but after deducting non operating factors,Suning is actually in a loss.The data performance of these four years is different from the actual situation.Suning,as an old brand household appliance enterprise,has made a tortuous light asset transformation from realizing that the traditional retail mode is no longer suitable for the market demand to catering to the development process of Internet o2 o mode.From 2013 to2019,Suning took a variety of innovative operation forms to complete the light assets transformation based on its own development characteristics.In 2018,the acquisition of Carrefour and other behaviors is a leading performance of the layout of smart retail in home appliance industry.In 2019,the transformation of Suning light assets is almost over,so the focus of this paper is how Suning e-buy's business activities before and after the transformation affect the transformation,whether the effects of various transformation attempts are obvious,and what is the future development path.This paper first expounds the background of the market economy "Internet plus",and selects the research significance and research purpose of suning.com as the research object.Secondly,combing the theory and literature of light assets,using the literature research method,in-depth understanding of the definition of light assets operation mode,main content and mode characteristics are summarized.Then,based on the facts of Suning e-buy's asset light transformation case,this paper lists the development process and transformation motivation of the enterprise,and analyzes its financial characteristics and transformation effect from the financial perspective.Thirdly,this paper compares Suning's financial data with Jingdong's,and according to the second chapter's theoretical knowledge,extracts relevant financial data from three aspects of operation,financing and investment to discuss thetransformation effect.Then,according to the fourth chapter of the quantitative analysis of the problems in the transformation,and put forward solutions.At last,the future of Suning e-commerce is prospected based on the development prospect of home appliance industry.Through sorting out the theoretical knowledge of asset light transformation and the case process,this paper holds that Suning's asset light transformation has achieved remarkable results,but there are still many areas for improvement.As a listed company,it is sustainable in terms of book value,but the fundamental source of profit comes from some capital operation.As an e-commerce enterprise,Suning's main business of home appliances does not fully inherit the characteristics of Internet operation.Therefore,in the future development,we need to vigorously develop the main business,improve the thinking of Internet operation,and grasp the pace of intelligent retail layout.Of course,now it is about to be in the post e-commerce era of Omo.All e-businesses strive to achieve the maximum integration of online and offline.Suning has completed the transformation of the operation mode of online light assets.It should make good use of its huge offline store sales system,continue to maintain the position of the leading enterprise of home electricity in the future development,develop jointly with all fields,and promote the common progress of home appliance retail market.
