Inventory management is one of the most important items in manufacturing enterprise management,and it is an important element directly related to enterprise profit and cash flow operation and service performance.The level of inventory management plays an important role in the management quality of enterprises.Manufacturing enterprises maintain a certain level of production material inventory,can balance production capacity,reduce order costs,and directly contribute to the company's income.A reasonable inventory structure can shorten the entire manufacturing cycle from receipt to delivery,and it can also provide sufficient cash flow for enterprises.Delivery performance is also one of the core competitiveness of the enterprise,which is conducive to the strengthening and establishment of the market competitive advantage of the enterprise.On the contrary,excessive stocks that exceed reasonable levels can lead to various negative management effects.In particular,the problem of capital operation and the emergence of sluggish inventory may lead to the collapse of the corporate capital chain,high bad debt losses and other major corporate operating risks.In the development process of Panasonic Cold Chain(Dalian)Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Panasonic Cold Chain)has a series of serious problems,such as insufficient cash flow and rising precipitation cost risk,caused by high inventory of production materials due to changes in external and internal operating environment and management imbalance,which need to be solved urgently.Quick and effective improvement of inventory management is one of the key points to Panasonic Cold Chain re-entering the normal operation and management track.This study is based on the theory of inventory management,supply chain management,and MRP II management system.The issue of material inventory management in Panasonic Cold Chain has been improved as the research object.First,the basic situation of the enterprise and the background of the inventory management improvement activities are introduced.Next,the causes of the problem of inventory management before improvement are analyzed.The management theory,management tools and effective countermeasures used in management improvement are elaborated in detail.A systematic solution is given.Through a lot of chart data and qualitative analysis,some constructive suggestions are put forward for Panasonic Cold Chain,which provide reference for the present and future inventory management improvement of Panasonic Cold Chain.The research content of this paper not only has an exploration and demonstration function for similar improvement activities within Panasonic Cold Chain,but also has a certain reference function for enterprises with similar procurement and inventory management modes as Panasonic Cold Chain in the industry.
