Research On Discarded Electronic Product Recycle System In China Mobile

The development of Chinese communication technology and network technology results in a huge amount of waste electronic products,leading to serious problems of environmental pollution and resource waste.Manufactures and operations that play an important role in communication supply chain management have begun to recycle waste electronic products.However,due to the recent disordered recycling market,the lack of environmental awareness of consumers and the low enthusiasm of manufacturers,there are considerable difficulties for the enterprise to conduct recycling and re-manufacturing operations.Therefore,it is critical to building the recycling reverse supply chain based on environmental protection and cost saving.Firstly,the reverse supply chain system on the wasted electronic product is analyzing the characteristics of manufacturer,recovery specialist and customers to conduct the necessity and urgency of building a recycling reverse supply chain.From the perspective of recyclers,this research proposed specific incentives policies and discuss the advantages,disadvantages,applicability and economic benefits.On this basis,according to the structure of the reverse supply chain,the relationship between each chain is quantitatively analyzed.This method is to seek the maximum profit for each part.This research will introduce two incentive policies,price discounts policy strategy and deposit refund strategy which China Mobile has implemented so far.Price discounts strategy means that when the customer purchases a new product if the discarded device is returned by the customer,certain price compensation can be obtained.The deposit refund strategy means that the customers need to pay additional money for the device.For the “manufacturers-recyclers” reverse supply chain,two key factors affect the use condition of ONU are introduced.Recyclers should pay transportation cost,test cost and other fees for returning discarded electronic equipment to the manufacturer.This research introduces a simple model to illustrate the costs on reverse supply chain.
