Research On The Implementation Of Vmi Model By E Company

At present,many manufacturing enterprises in China generally have high inventory,low inventory turnover and other major problems.Inventory management is an important part of supply chain management.How to manage the "double-edged sword" of inventory well,effectively control the logistics,capital flow and information flow in production and operation,fully mobilize the horizontal resources in the supply chain,reduce the production and operation cost and risk of enterprises,has important strategic significance to improve the competitive advantage of enterprises in the market competition.Since the emergence of VMI model,it has pointed out the direction for enterprises to improve the level of supply chain inventory management.It takes E company as the research object to study its implementation of VMI model.Firstly,it combs the domestic and foreign literatures,analyzes the connotation,characteristics and implementation conditions of VMI,and lays a theoretical and practical foundation for the implementation of VMI below.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of procurement and inventory management of E company,points out the main problems of inventory management,and analyzes the practical conditions for the implementation of VMI mode by combining problem analysis with existing software and hardware conditions of the enterprise,so as to provide a favorable basis for further VMI scheme design.Thirdly,follow the principles and objectives of VMI implementation,build the overall framework and main contents of VMI implementation and conduct expected comparison of the results before and after the implementation of VMI.Finally,it proposes comprehensive guarantee measures from the aspects of support system,risk prevention,supplier management and inventory performance management to ensure the effective implementation of VMI model.
