Research On Design Leadership From The Perspective Of Business Management

At present,the trend of industrial upgrading makes the connotation of design management comprehensive and rich.Design management no longer means the management of designers or design projects.Under the environment of business management,people's attention to design management gradually turns to the field of design leadership.This change puts forward new requirements for leaders' personal ability.Design leadership is closely related to the development of the new economy.The key to business success is no longer technology and cost effectiveness.Design leadership has become an important factor in enterprise management.Leaders use design thinking to help enterprises gain advantages and promote sustainable development of enterprises.At the same time,in the academic field,foreign scholars have also turned their eyes from design management to research on design leadership.Leadership theory has been fully researched and developed in the field of enterprise management,but design leadership is still a new field.For most scholars in our country,design leadership is a new marginal topic.As the specific environment varies,design leadership takes on different forms.From a commercial point of view,design leadership is embodied in helping enterprises to gain a leading position in the market.From the perspective of enterprise management,design leadership makes design play a leading role in the enterprise.From a personal perspective,design leadership is the embodiment of leaders' use of design thinking to exert influence in enterprise management.Leaders grope for leadership methods in enterprise management and use design thinking to explore the most suitable leadership mode.Based on the relevant research of foreign design leadership,this paper raises three questions: what are the characteristics of current design leadership? How are leaders with design leadership characteristics different from other leaders? How should leaders acquire,develop and optimize design leadership?On the basis of consulting relevant literature,statistical data and collecting a large number of cases,this paper extracts design leadership indicators and establishes a design leadership model.The main contents are as follows:The first chapter mainly sorts out the concept of design leadership,defines and analyzes the types and values of design leadership from the perspectives of enterprise management,design leadership,design management and design thinking.The second chapter mainly carries on the design leadership model research.First of all,from the perspective of literature analysis,case analysis and post analysis,the design leadership indicators are extracted and initially drafted.Secondly,the design leadership model is constructed by using questionnaire survey and data analysis to screen design leadership indicators and determine model dimensions.The third chapter mainly puts forward suggestions.On the basis of the design leadership model proposed in this paper,the applied exploration is carried out.From the perspectives of enterprise human resource management,leader evaluation,development and training of design leadership,relevant suggestions are put forward.
