Research On The Impact Of Agglomeration Of Productive Service Industry On Upgrade Of Manufacturing Industry

Manufacturing industry is of great significance to the country and is an important reflection of a country's comprehensive national strength.Historical development has shown that for countries and nations to be prosperous,they must have developed manufacturing industries.At present,China has established a complete industrial chain system,becoming the only country in the world with all industrial categories.The output value of the manufacturing industry is also far ahead of other countries.The development of the manufacturing industry has significantly enhanced China's economic strength and raised China's overall national strength.However,compared with other manufacturing powers,China's manufacturing development level still has many deficiencies.Its position in the global value chain is not high,and it is facing tremendous pressure for transformation and upgrading.As an intermediate input of manufacturing industry,productive service industry can provide research and development,storage and transportation,and some business technical services for manufacturing industry.With the development of manufacturing industry,the importance of productive service industry is also increasing.Productive service industry Not only greatly increased the added value of manufacturing products,but also injected new momentum into economic development.The productive service industry mainly relies on information and communication networks to complete transmission and trade across space and long distances.Therefore,after the level of information technology has increased,the geographic interaction costs and trade costs of the productive service industry have decreased,which has greatly promoted production The agglomeration and development of the sex service industry has gradually become the mainstream trend of the development of the productive services industry.Countries are also promoting the agglomeration of the productive services industry to the central cities.Therefore,this article focuses on the impact of agglomeration of productive services on manufacturing upgrading.This article first introduces the related research on industrial agglomeration and industrial upgrading,productive service industry agglomeration and manufacturing upgrading.Based on this,the influence mechanism of the agglomeration of productive service industry on the upgrading of manufacturing industry is expounded.Then it analyzes the development status of China's productive service industry and manufacturing industry,and then uses panel data from 30 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions in China(excluding Hong Kong,Macau,Taiwan,and Tibet)from 2007 to 2016 to conduct research and analyze production across the country.The impact of the agglomeration of the sex service industry on the upgrading of the manufacturing industry was finally studied based on the subdivided industries of the producer service industry and the eastern,central,and western regions.This article mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)The agglomeration of productive service industries promotes the upgrading of manufacturing industries through competition effects,learning effects,specialization effects,and economies of scale.The competitive effect acts on manufacturing upgrades by reducing service costs,improving the outsourcing environment,and reducing uncertainty;the learning effect acts on manufacturing upgrades by promoting innovation;the specialization effect acts on manufacturing by promoting innovation and providing refined,specialized services Industry upgrading;economies of scale effect on manufacturing upgrading by reducing labor costs.(2)China's productive service industry is generally in a good development trend.Although employment is currently concentrated in lower-end industries such as transportation and warehousing,employment in other industries is growing rapidly,and the total number of employees in the productive service industry is nearly It has been growing rapidly for ten years.From the perspective of the concentration level of productive service industries,China's productive service industries are mainly concentrated in the more developed provinces and cities in the east,especially in Beijing and Shanghai,and the central and western provinces are relatively backward.(3)China's manufacturing industry as a whole continues to develop.Although manufacturing employment has declined,the manufacturing output value is still growing.This is attributed to the growth of manufacturing labor productivity,which indicates that the overall upgrading of China's manufacturing industry is better.(4)For the entire national sample,the concentration of productive service industries can significantly promote the upgrading of the manufacturing industry,the degree of economic development and fixed asset investment have a positive effect on the upgrading of the manufacturing industry,and the degree of transportation development has no significant impact on the upgrading of the manufacturing industry.Government spending and human capital have a deterrent effect on manufacturing upgrades.The impact of agglomeration of productive service industries on manufacturing upgrades also has industry heterogeneity and regional heterogeneity.From the perspective of productive service industry segments,the agglomeration of "information transmission,computer services,and software industries" has a bearing on manufacturing upgrades.There may be negative effects,but the effects are not significant.The agglomeration of the other four types of industries can significantly promote the upgrading of manufacturing.From the perspective of eastern,central and western regions,the agglomeration of productive service industries in the central and eastern regions can significantly promote the upgrading of manufacturing industries,while the agglomeration of productive service industries in the western regions may have a negative impact on the upgrading of manufacturing industries,but the impact is not significant.Finally,according to the research conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward:(1)Promote industrial agglomeration and form a productive service industry agglomeration area.(2)Strengthen the interactive and integrated development of productive services and manufacturing.(3)The western region can rely on the central city of the provincial capital to vigorously develop productive services and promote the upgrading of manufacturing.
