In the past two decades of the development of the Internet in China, the scale of Chinese Internet users has reached 800 million, and the size of China's digital economy has reached 30 trillion, accounting for 34.8% of GDP.The Internet has become an important engine of China's economic growth. In addition, the Internet also plays an important role in changing people's production and life.Under this influence, labor force employment, income, and rural production and life are undergoing subtle changes. This article starts with rural Internet use and studies the impact of Internet use on rural labor mobility. The research is mainly carried out from the following aspects: First, based on a review of domestic and foreign research on the Internet's impact on employment, income, and society,a related review is conducted.Secondly,a statistical description of the Internet development status and labor flow in the sample villages is made.It mainly includes the construction of Internet infrastructure, the use and popularity of the Internet, the destination of labor mobility, and the time of migration. The statistical analysis of the Internet usage in the sample villages was made from the perspectives of gender, age, and education. Finally, use rural labor employment choices, income, and occupational land choices as the explanatory variables, and use the Internet of labor and other related variables as the core explanatory variables.Using Mprobit model,CMP method and PSM analysis method to empirically analyze the impact of Internet use on rural labor mobility in these aspects, and put forward relevant policy recommendations based on the current situation of Internet construction and development in Gansu Province. The conclusions of the empirical research are as follows: First, the use of the Internet can promote non-agricultural employment for the rural labor force, and in particular has a significant impact on migrant workers;Second, the use of the Internet can increase the income of rural migrant labor;Third, the use of the Internet has promoted the outward movement of rural labor, especially to large cities in and outside the province;Fourth, factors affecting rural labor mobility include the individual human capital and social capital of the labor force.Based on the above empirical research conclusions, relevant pertinent policy suggestions are proposed, with a view to providing reference and inspiration for promoting the off-farm employment of rural labor.
