Poverty,as a universal phenomenon in the world,plays an important role in one country's economic development and social harmony.Eliminating poverty,improving people's livelihood and achieving common prosperity are the essential requirements of socialism and the goals that the Communist Party of China as well as the government have been striving for.Since the founding of New China,China has begun to explore the way of poverty alleviation.Government,enterprises and non-profit organizations have successively participated in poverty alleviation and development of rural areas.While achieving certain results,government failure,market failure and voluntary failure inevitably occurred.At present,there is still “the last mile” of poverty alleviation.Originated from the west,Social enterprise,with the mission of realizing social goals and making profits through commercial operation,performed well in solving social problems.With the advantages of high efficiency,flexibility and social mission,social enterprise has become “the fourth way” to solve the problem of rural poverty in China.As an agricultural country,the issue of rural areas,agriculture and rural farmershas always been a major issue and important area of poverty alleviation faced by Chinese government.This paper firstly elaborates the current study of poverty alleviation of social enterprises at home and abroad,the basic concept of social enterprises,the necessity and advantages of social enterprises' participation in poverty alleviation,etc.Secondly,the study takes the practice of “Shared Harvest” social enterprise in Mafang village as an example and discusses the difficulties encountered by the social enterprise in the process of rural poverty alleviation.Thirdly,based on Putnam's social capital theory,this paper analyses the predicament of social enterprise in rural poverty alleviation from three aspects: trust,norms and network.Finally,in view of the lack of social capital of social enterprise caused by trust,norms and network,the author puts forward relevant optimization countermeasures,with a view to promoting the better development of social enterprises in rural poverty alleviation.This paper is divided into six parts,the specific research arrangements are as follows.The first part is the introduction part.It discusses the background of topic selection,significance of research,related research at home and abroad,related concepts and theoretical basis,methods,innovations and shortcomings of this study.The second part elaborates the necessity and advantages of social enterprises' participation in rural poverty alleviation,and lists four modes of social enterprises' participation in rural poverty alleviation.The third part is the case study part,that is,the practice of “Shared Harvest” social enterprise in poverty alleviation in Mafang village.This part introduces the basic information of Mafang village and “Shared Harvest” social enterprise and then discusses the difficulties encountered by the social enterprise during its development.On the basis of Putnam's social capital theory,the fourth part analyses the predicament of “Shared Harvest” social enterprise from three aspects: trust,norms and network.In the fifth part,aiming at the poverty alleviation predicament caused by the lack of social capital of social enterprise,the author puts forward the relevant optimization path.The sixth part is the summary and prospect part,the author makes the summary of the research and points out the problems of this study in order to provide the direction for future related academic research.
