Research On The Port Economy And Its Regional Synergistic Development Effects In The Provinces And Regions Of Southwest China

With the strengthening of the trend of world economic integration and regional economic grouping,countries pay more attention to economic interaction with neighboring countries,in which the border provinces and regions,by virtue of their space location,contain huge economic development opportunities in the cross-border flow of people,logistics,information flow and capital flows.The southwestern border provinces are special regions bordering Vietnam,Laos,Myanmar,India,Bhutan,Nepal and other countries,with 43 state-approved ports,which has been one of the important open channels for China to Southeast Asia and South Asia since ancient times,and is also the main channel and important bridge for bilateral and multilateral economic and trade exchanges.Relying on the port to develop the port economy is conducive to promoting the social and economic development of the southwest border provinces and regions and promoting the development and opening up to the neighboring countries.Therefore,the study of the port economy and regional synergy effect of the southwestern border provinces and regions of China is an important issue worthy of attention.Based on the analysis of the natural geographical environment and human geography of the southwestern border provinces of China,this thesis combs the course of opening ports and the spatial distribution pattern of ports since the southwestern border provinces and regions of China built from the perspective of time and space,and secondly,The second is to analyze the level of port flow economic development in the southwest border provinces and regions from the aspects of port flow such as import and export freight volume,number of entry and exit personnel,and number of entry and exit vehicles;and the third is to evaluate the scale of ports and port citie's(or town's)in the southwest border provinces and regions by using the Relative Concentration Index(RCI),and to analyze the level of port economic development from the perspective of the scale of port economic development.Fourth,by constructing the model of the combined system of porteconomic regional coordination,the degree of economic regional coordination of the port economy in the southwest border provinces and regions is measured,so as to measure the cooperative development effect of the port economic region of the southwest border provinces and regions.Through the study: First,since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the development of ports in the southwestern border provinces can be roughly divided into a stable development stage,a slow development stage,an accelerated development stage,and an all-round improvement development stage;basically,the“water,land and air” all-round Multi-level port development and open network pattern.Second,since 2000,the economic indicators of the flow of ports in the southwest border provinces and regions have shown a general growth trend,and the economic development momentum of port traffic has been good.However,it is easy to be affected by the international political and economic environment,government border control and natural disasters,and so on,the stable surrounding environment and active foreign trade policies can promote the increase of port flow,thereby promoting the growth of the port flow economy.Thirdly,most ports in the southwest border provinces and regions on the port city's(or town's)driving role is not obvious,the port operation is not smooth and the port “crossing” phenomenon still exists.Fourthly,The results of the measurement of the economic regional ity of the port show that the economic regional coordination of the port in the southwest border provinces and regions has a certain foundation and the ability of coordinated development,but at present it is only in the primary stage of coordination,and there is still a big gap with the high-quality coordination.In view of the existing problems,this study proposes countermeasures to promote the development of the port economy in the southwest border provinces and regions and realize the coordinated development of the port economy from the aspects of port development,construction of network facilities such as transportation,hinterland economic construction,and construction of a coordinated development community of the port economy.
