Scientific And Technological Innovation,Economic Urbanization And Urban-Rural Income Gap In China

Since the 2008 financial crisis,governments have strengthened technological innovation to ensure sustained economic development.After the "18th CPC National Congress",our government explicitly puts forward the implementation of the "innovation driven development strategy".At the same time,the government also puts forward the call for "mass entrepreneurship and innovation".At present,China's economy has entered an important period of "new normal",and scientific and technological innovation will also be the key point to ensure the healthy development and scientific development of our country's economy.In 2014,our government issued a document named "the national new urbanization plan(2014-2020)".This document takes the construction of new urbanization as an important matter to promote the development of a well-off society,and the development of economic level is an important part of new urbanization.At the same time,the social problems of large income gap between urban and rural areas in China have not been effectively solved.In recent years,the income of urban and rural areas has fluctuated in the vicinity of 3.At present,some scholars have appealed that we must attach great importance to the impact of the income gap in China on social stability.This paper focuses on the study of the impact of scientific and technological innovation and Economic Urbanization on the income gap between urban and rural areas.In this paper,we choose the amount of per capita patent authorization to measure the level of technological innovation,choose the proportion of non-agricultural industry added value to measure the level of economic urbanization,choose the ratio of urban and rural income to measure the size of the income gap between urban and rural areas.This paper is based on the time series data of four regions in East,northeast,middle and western regions.On this basis,the impact of technological innovation on the income gap between urban and rural areas and the impact of Economic Urbanization on the income gap between urban and rural areas are compared and analyzed based on four data samples.It is hoped that this study can provide an empirical basis for reducing the income gap between urban and rural areas and coordinating the coordinated development of urban and rural income gap in each region.Through the empirical analysis,this paper finds that: In the East,middle and western regions,the gap between science and technology innovation,Economic Urbanization and urban and rural income gap exists both long-term and short-term Grainger causality.However,there is only a long-term Grainger causality relationship between them in the northeastern region.Through cointegration analysis,This paper finds out that the impact of technological innovation on the income gap between urban and rural areas is negative in the three regions of East,middle and West,while it is positive in Northeast China.The impact of Economic Urbanization on the income gap between urban and rural areas is positive in three areas in East,middle and western regions,while in the Northeast China is negative.Through impulse response function analysis,This paper finds out that when the technological innovation has a impact,the income gap between urban and rural areas will cause negative changes in the three regions of East,middle and West.However,in the northeastern region,there will be alternation of positive and negative.When economic urbanization has an impact,the income gap between urban and rural areas will have an alternation of positive and negative impacts in the two regions of the East and the northeast.However,there will be negative impact in the two regions of China and the West.Through variance decomposition,This paper finds out that the contribution of technological innovation to the income gap between urban and rural areas is relatively large in the three regions of East,middle and West.However,in Northeast China,the economic urbanization has greater contribution to the urban-rural income gap.Through the analysis of the regression model between the coupling degree,between scientific and technological innovation and Economic Urbanization,and the income gap between urban and rural areas,this paper finds that the promotion of the coupling degree between the four areas of science and technology innovation and economic urbanization has improved the income gap between urban and rural areas in different degrees.
