Comparison And Financial Assessment Of Photovoltaic Technical Renovation Projects-A Case Study Of Y Company

Photovoltaic cell and module manufacturers are facing the dual pressure of overcapacity and rapid technological progress and thus in urgent need of adopting technical renovation.Therefore,it is of great necessity to study how to scientifically select the best scheme for the company in multiple technical renovation projects.this study aims to analyze the optimization of the financial indicators of each project and the expectation of the economic evaluation results,and to select the best option closest to the ideal scheme of the company's management team under the comprehensive evaluation method.In this study,the standardized cost model and product grading model of the technically renovated products were established according to the production data of SAP and basic data of research and development report.The study of the main raw material price curve and the changes of the two models before and after the technical renovation then helped predict the effect of each technical renovation project on the cash flow.The expected changes of sales revenue in the cash flow before and after the technical renovation was also forecast through analyzing the Levelized Cost of Energy(LCOE)of the terminal customers and the changes of product grading model throughout the process of technical renovation.The financial feasibility of the project was analyzed based on the expectation of cash flow change and the characteristics of the project.Then based on the analysis of the financial feasibility,this study made an in-depth study on the contribution of multiple technical renovation projects to the company's business objectives,namely,the comprehensive evaluation ranking.This study also drew numerous literatures for the study of influencing factors of the technical renovation projects according to Balanced Score Card(BSC)classification.Then the weighted analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and Yaahp analysis tools were used to assign the weight of the influencing factors index system,and the company's decisionmaking team was invited to evaluate and ranck each technical renovation project under the weighted influencing factors index system by using the ideal point method(TOPSIS).
