The "speed shifting" of China's economic development has become the main theme nowadays.Banking industry actively meets the challenges through strategic transformation,promoting financial market reform,broadening the channels of private capital participation,and accelerating the pace of docking internationalization.At the same time,the systemic risks are intensified,and the risks of "black swan" and "gray rhinoceros" occur frequently.In recent years,especially under the situation of strict supervision,the frequent occurrence of huge fines has had a considerable negative impact on the profits of commercial banks,especially small and medium-sized commercial banks.As the representative of the small and medium-sized private commercial banks in China,M Bank has assumed the role of a reformer in the financial field since its inception.In the course of many years' operation,it has established a set of internal control compliance and risk management system which is in line with its own reality,and has achieved certain results.However,occasional cases and regulatory penalty risks also expose the hidden dangers and problems of its internal control and risk management system,such as imperfect mechanism and system.Facing with this reality,this paper takes Wenzhou Branch of M Bank as the research object.Based on the relevant concepts and theories of internal control and risk management of commercial banks,it deeply explores the importance of internal control in the process of operation and management of banking institutions,analyses the problems existing in this field of Wenzhou Branch at the present stage,and puts forward several solutions to improve the internal control of Wenzhou Branch and to enhance the overall risk management level,reaching the goal of being a reference model version for bank reform and transformation.
