| Infrastructure is the foundation for ensuring the healthy operation of cities and the key to planning and building urban development.Promoting the development of urbanization will stimulate the demand for the construction of public infrastructure, and the increase in the scale of infrastructure will also greatly improve the level of urbanization. How to balance the relationship between infrastructure construction and demand is an important part of the process of urbanization. The Hubao’e region is an important economic growth pole of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and an important economic hub for its connection with the northwest region of my country and its external relations. Therefore, the Hubao’e area was selected as the research object to discuss the dynamic relationship between the existing infrastructure construction scale and the urbanization development level from the three perspectives of economy, population and land.Based on the development status of infrastructure and urbanization in Hubao E area from 2009 to 2018,a coupling relationship model was established for the two systems of infrastructure and urbanization. On the basis of determining that changes in infrastructure scale can effectively affect the urbanization development process, the effect of infrastructure scale on economic and population urbanization is analyzed by Vector Auto Regressive model. Finally, combining the land intensive use model to analyze whether the scale of infrastructure and the degree of land development is reasonable, and according to the obstacles affecting the degree of land intensive use, provide a basis for the further expansion of the scale of infrastructure and promote the limited resources of the infrastructure in Hubao’e Promote the sustainable development of urbanization to the greatest extent. The results show that as of 2018,the coupling index of the scale of the infrastructure and the level of urbanization in Hubao’e area is above 0.9,but the coupling coordination index is less than 0.4,which is an imbalanced development level. In the short term, theincrease in the scale of infrastructure in theHubao’e region will inevitably stimulate the growth of the regional economy and population, and the impact on the economy will be greater than the impact on the population, but not all infrastructure will promote the long-term stable growth of the local economy and population..The construction of water supply and drainage infrastructure in Hohhot and Baotou City and the construction of energy infrastructure in Ordos City will steadily promote the growth of the local economy and population, but neither the construction of energy infrastructure in Baotou City nor the transportation infrastructure in Ordos City will stimulate the growth of regional economy and population..However,the expansion of the scale of other infrastructure subsystems is not consistent with the promotion of economic and population urbanization. An increase of one percentage point in the scale of transportation infrastructure in Hohhot City has positively promoted the economy by 0.192 percentage points, but it has a negative impact on the population. An increase of one percentage point in the transportation infrastructure of Baotou will stimulate the population growth by 3.527 percentage points, but it will inhibit the healthy development of the economy. The construction area per capita in Hubao’e area is much higher than the national and regional average, but the intensive use of land in infrastructure inHubao’e area is less than 0.2,and it is found that the low land output rate is the main obstacle to the intensive use of land. While expanding the scale of infrastructure construction in various regions,it is necessary to pay attention to promoting the process of urbanization under the premise of intensive use of land to ensure the rational use of urban resources. |
