This paper uses vector auto regression model, static panel model and dynamic panel model. Using the time series data and inter provincial panel data from 2000 to2013 to study the relevance between urbanization and energy utilization efficiency.Vector auto regression model mainly studies the linkage response relationship between urbanization and energy efficiency at the national level. This paper has used the methods of stationary test, cointegration test, Granger causality, impulse response function and variance decomposition,etc. Results of this research show:there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between urbanization and energy use efficiency in China.Urbanization will result in the reduction of energy use efficiency. In this paper,the static model and dynamic panel model are combined,using the unit root test, Kao cointegration test, Hausman test, GMM estimation, etc.Results show that China is still in the initial stage of development, which urbanization process leads to the reduction of energy use efficiency. The level of economic development will improve energy use efficiency. Industrial development will reduce energy use efficiency,therefore, the industrial structure needs to be adjusted. Technological progress can promote energy use efficiency, so technological innovation and the use of new energy saving technology are imperative. But in different regions,the influence between them is different. For economically developed eastern regions,the impact of economic development level on energy efficiency should be avianized.pay attention to the influence of technological progress and industrial structure on energy efficiency. For the less developed central region, we should coordinate the development of economic development, industrial structure, technological progress and energy efficiency. For the underdeveloped western region, the impact of technological progress and industrial structure on energy efficiency should be weakened, the influence of economic development on energy efficiency should be paid attention.
