The service ecosystem has become an important platform for value co-creation in the age of the digital economy,and competition among enterprises is evolving into competition in the ecosystem.The value co-creation behavior evolved from the enterprise-customer bilateral relationship to the symbiotic evolution relationship of the service ecosystem.The service ecosystem has the characteristics of multiple subjects.The subjects of value co-creation face new problems such as systemic conflicts and active opportunism.The value co-creation behavior impact mechanism and management strategy from the perspective of bilateral relations cannot fully adapt to the context of multilateral relations in the service ecosystem.How to realize multi-agent value co-creation in the service ecosystem will be an important subject worth exploring.Concerning about the above problems,this study focuses on the institutional mutual trust mechanism of the service ecosystem,and builds the multi-agent characteristics of the service ecosystem from an institutional perspective,the model of the influence of the mutual institutional trust and the performance of the service ecosystem.At the same time,based on the multi-agent characteristics of the service ecosystem,this study studies the procedures at the institutional level and the driving mechanism of intellectual property to mutual institutional trust from the perspective of trust agents.Finally,this research proposes 12 research hypotheses,which mainly explore three questions:(1)How does the multi-agent characteristic of service ecosystem affect service ecosystem performance?(2)How does mutual institutional trust play a mediating role between the multi-agent characteristics of the service ecosystem and the performance of the service ecosystem?(3)How does the system-level process and intellectual property play a moderating effect between the multi-agent characteristics of the service ecosystem and mutual institutional trust?In this study,706 valid sample data were collected through two rounds of questionnaires,and pre-investigation analysis and research hypothesis test analysis were performed.The research results show that:(1)the multi-agent characteristics of the service ecosystem have a significant impact on service ecosystem performance;(2)institutional mutual trust plays an intermediary role in the impact of the multi-agent characteristics of the service ecosystem on service ecosystem performance;(3)The process clarity of the service ecosystem will regulate the relationship between active opportunism and institutional mutual trust;(4)The clarity of intellectual property protection of the service ecosystem will regulate the relationship between active opportunism and institutional mutual trust.Finally,this study puts forward management recommendations,research limitations and prospects.
