Research On The Influence Of Technological Innovation On The Capacity Utilization Of Enterprises In The Yangtze River Economic Zone

The problem of overcapacity has become an important factor hindering China's economic growth and optimization of industrial structure.The problem of overcapacity is related to the low added value of China's manufacturing industry and the lack of core technologies.The fundamental reason lies in the lack of innovation capabilities of Chinese enterprises.This article focuses on enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Zone,and analyzes the impact of technological innovation on enterprise capacity utilization.This article first sorts out the relevant literature on the impact of technological innovation on enterprise capacity utilization.Secondly,this article measures and analyzes the current situation of enterprise capacity utilization in the Yangtze River Economic Zone based on the 1998-2007 Chinese industrial enterprise database data.Thirdly,this paper establishes a theoretical model of technological innovation affecting the enterprise's capacity utilization rate,and taps its internal mechanism.Finally,based on the panel data model,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of technological innovation on capacity utilization of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.Based on the above research,this article draws the following conclusions and policy recommendations:The calculation results of the capacity utilization of enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Zone show that: from 1998 to 2007,the capacity utilization of enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Zone continued to increase with the growth of China's overall economy,of which the growth rate in 2003 was the largest.The capacity utilization of enterprises in the downstream area is the highest,followed by the enterprises in the middle reaches,and the lowest in the upstream area.Compared with heavy industry enterprises,the capacity utilization rate of light industry enterprises is higher.Compared with state-owned enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises have higher capacity utilization.Small-scale enterprises have the highest capacity utilization rate,followed by medium-sized enterprises,and large-scale enterprises have the lowest.The analysis of the mechanism of technological innovation affecting the enterprise's capacity utilization shows that: technological innovation promotes the improvement of capacity utilization.Technological innovation improves the company's capacity utilization rate mainly through: improving the market analysis and research capabilities of the enterprise,promoting product upgrades to meet changing market demands;improving the efficiency of production and management by increasing the use of capital and labor;and promoting industry Develop and transform traditional enterprises,eliminate backward enterprises,drive emerging enterprises,and raise industry barriers.The empirical analysis of the impact of technological innovation on the capacity utilization of enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Zone shows that the impact of technological innovation on the capacity utilization rate of enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Zone has a clear positive "U" shape.The impact of technological innovation on the capacity utilization rate of enterprises in the upper,middle and lower reaches of the YangtzeRiver Economic Zone has a clear positive "U" shape,and the midstream region can break through the "U" inflection point earlier.The impact of non-state-owned enterprise technological innovation on the capacity utilization of enterprises in the Yangtze River Economic Zone has a clear positive "U" shape.State-owned enterprises' technological innovation cannot significantly promote the increase of capacity utilization rate.Compared with light industry enterprises,heavy industry enterprises break through the "U" shaped inflection point earlier.Compared with non-overcapacity companies,overcapacity companies break through the "U"-shaped turning point earlier.Based on the above research results,the following policy recommendations are proposed:(1)Enhance the enterprise's technological innovation capability and promote the improvement of production capacity utilization;(2)Increase the reform of state-owned enterprises and increase the support of non-state-owned enterprises to support and promote the improvement of the enterprise's capacity utilization;(4)Expand the degree of openness of the enterprise and realize the transfer of excess capacity;(5)Coordinate regional development and increase the overall capacity utilization of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.
