A Comparative Study On The Competitiveness Of Economic Development In Guangdong And Jiangsu Counties

With the economy entering the new normal,Guangdong and Jiangsu's total economic growth is constantly high,but the county economic development is showing great differences.County economy is an important part of Guangdong Province's regional economy,and its speed and potential are of great significance to the construction of guangdong,Hong Kong and Macao,the coordinated development of Guangdong region and the overall construction of a well-off society.Therefore,the article compares the economic development competitiveness of 57 counties in Guangdong and 41 counties in Jiangsu,and tries to explore the differences between the counties,and provides opinions for the economic development of Guangdong counties.The paper constructs the index system from the five aspects of economic efficiency,economic structure,consumption,human capital and infrastructure competitiveness,and ranks the county competitiveness of Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces in 2015-2017 by using the main component analysis method,and then uses the cluster analysis to divide the competitiveness of the counties into developed,more developed,medium and backward four levels,compare the different levels and find out the differences in the development of the counties.The results show that the top five competitiveness scores in Guangdong in the past three years fluctuate between Boluo,Huidong,Puning,Sihui and Heshan,while Jiangsu has always been Kunshan,Jiangyin,Zhangjiagang,Changshu and Yixing,both provinces have more than half of the counties competitiveness level below the average level.The level of development of the four levels of counties in Guangdong is far lower than that of the same level of Jiangsu,and the overall development and average level of the counties are lagging behind that of Jiangsu.But the difference between the development of Jiangsu county area is significantly higher than that of Guangdong,which is a low level of balanced development.
