Abstract/Summary:
This study examined the relationship between burnout and supervisor support. It was hypothesized there would be a negative relationship between supervisor support and burnout among HIV/AIDS case managers. Burnout was measured using the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services questionnaire. Supervisor support was measured using the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support. The word organization was replaced with supervisor. The study determined there was a negative relationship between supervisor support and emotional exhaustion more so than depersonalization and personal accomplishment. There was also no significant relationship between supervisor support and personal accomplishment.
