Abstract/Summary:
Firefighting is considered a risky operation. Firefighters face dangerous situations when extinguishing fires and rescuing victims. The objective of this project is to design and implement a firefighting truck capable of detecting and extinguishing fires while also avoiding obstacles on the way to the destination. The fire detection system (Infrared (IR) and temperature sensors), the fire extinguishing system (extinguisher tank, pump), and the navigation system (IR sensor, Direct Current (DC) motors) are implemented to achieve the truck's autonomous functionality. The vehicle is also equipped with a camera and Wi-Fi module for uploading up-to-date video feeds and sensor data to the server for remote monitoring purposes. The firefighting truck is designed and implemented with the aim to assist firefighters in a firefighting operation as well as to be an essential tool towards operation risk reduction.
