Analysis is appropriate for mechanical, material, or physical inquiries—making it idoneous for scientific inquiry and research, and for practical matters; but from the ancient to the contemporary, wisdom lovers have shown that human transformation, not analysis, is the living prerequisite for wisdom-loving (philosophical) research. Life lived in terms of sensitivity rather than analysis, with its conditioning and presuppositions, is such a transformation into a wisdom-loving lifestyle. |
