| Many ways of addressing the radiating device characterization are possible. Two methods used among others are: the Fourier Transform analysis and the Equivalent Magnetic Current (EMC) modeling method.;The scope of the present work was to validate and improve the EMC method based on a modelling of the radiation observed at short distance, or near-field measurements.;Keeping in mind that the main objectives of this work are the study and validation of the EMC method, we will address the following issues: (a) Computation performance improvements of the magnetic currents sources. Indeed, the main application limitation of this method is the computation time, versus the Fourier Transform Method. (b) The reduction of the effect coming from the different error sources: external perturbation, measurement precision, current sources modelling, etc. (c) The validation of the EMC method: this method has not been used very often so far because of its novelty and due to the above mentioned problems.
