The main purpose of this thesis is to show the logistic reality currently present at the Colon Free Zone and to show that the management of the companies are not yet aware of the importance of that fact. The companies established at the Colon Free Zone are not prepared to face the changes and demands of the new markets because of the lack of better logistical tools.;The detection of the troublesome zones should lead to the creation of awareness for decisions to be taken in the areas of logistics. This detection should also link bonds between development and consultant companies and with software and hardware supplier companies.;Even though the Free Zone is an establishment that moves a large volume of products and generates a high economic yield, it does not utilize the correct distribution and logistics tools that would substantially increase its performance and significantly increase its presence in the world economy.;Bristol Laboratories International S.A., as a company, shows many of the same characteristics that other companies do, i.e., the lack of adequate tools to be able to expand.;The new tools and theories presented in this thesis are based upon updated design of engineering, total quality, and logistic distribution. With these new tools and theories, companies will be able to obtain better orientation and processes in businesses, and thus, the companies can obtain better achievements.
