For my thesis at Mills College I presented two connected works about cybernetic experience during the Signal Flow Festival---a concert work, Obsolescence is [not] a requirement, and an installation, Post-Digital Archeology. Obsolescence is [not] a requirement is a nine-person chamber opera scored for improvising musicians, fixed electronic media diffused over seven discrete channels, and video. Post-Digital Archeology is a three-dimensional multimedia installation that explores architecture and interaction through the lens of urban decay, blight, cyber-preservation, and glitching, lo-fi aesthetics.
