The genus Cratoxylum(Guttiferae),which are usually shrubs or trees, evergreen or deciduous, contains 6 species, distributed in India,Myanmar,Thailand,Vietnam and southern China that all in the south of 24°N latitude,is a typical tropical genus. There are 2 species and 1 subspecies in China, namely Cratoxylum cochinchinense,Cratoxylum formosum and Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum, which are produced in Guangdong,Guangxi and Yunnan province.Cratoxylum is a relatively unique resource plant in the tropical regions of southern China, which has important value and uses, mainly in the aspects of ornamental, edible, medicinal, and material value.Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum is a variety of C.formosum.It is different from the original species in that the young branches, leaves, pedicels and sepals are densely pilose.Based on literature research and ethnobotanical investigation,Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum as one of the source plants of "Kuding" tea,its leaves have the effects on clearing heat, detoxicating, promoting good digestion, eliminating dampness and stagnation, and can treat colds, fever, acute gastroenteritis, icterus, amebic dysentery, boils, etc. However, domestic reports on its resource utilization, chemical composition and pharmacological activity are very scarce. Therefore, based on digital specimens and field investigations, this thesis predicts the potential distribution of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum, and further studies on chemical constituents and network pharmacology,to verify the scientificity of its traditional medicinal knowledge and provide theoretical basis for its resource protection, development and sustainable utilization. The main results are as follows:1.The ethnobotanical investigation and research on the genus Cratoxylum found that the Dai,Zhuang, and Jinuo people all have traditional knowledge of using this genus. The main uses are for drinking, medicinal and material use,and the parts used are mainly leaves, barks and branches. But now only a few people know the traditional knowledge of using this genus of plants. On the one hand due to the influence of Western medical culture, and on the other hand due to the decrease in the distribution of resource.2.Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum are distributed in the low mountain environment of Yunnan and Guangxi provinces and are scattered in secondary forests on hillsides. The companion species in the community are mainly positive fast-growing tree species. The amount of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum keeps decreasing and human behaviors such as road construction and farmland reclamation are important factors leading to the reduction of resources.Basing on the MaxEnt niche model to predict the potential distribution of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum, the results show that the potential distribution area is larger than the actual distribution area. Therefore,in the current and future climate environment,Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum may have a wider distribution. It's suitable area shows a trend of expanding northward, the temperature and precipitation are the most important environmental factors affecting the distribution.Human activities such as road construction and land reclamation are also important factors affecting the distribution of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum.3.By using column chromatography and recycling preparative HPLC to separate and purify the chemical composition of Cratoxylum formosum.ssp.pruniflorum,5 compounds were obtained from the Dichloromethane extraction.Structures of chemical compounds were elucidated based on NMR and MS data, including 1 anthraquinone and 4 triterpenoids.4.Based on the method of network pharmacology, the active ingredients of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum and their corresponding anti-inflammatory targets were screened and analyzed, and the anti-inflammatory "Component-Target-Pathway" mechanism was constructed. The research results show that there are 34 compounds related to anti-inflammatory effects in Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum.These active compounds take PIK3CA,MAPK1,LCK and other proteins as the main targets,PI3K-Akt signaling pathway,TNF signaling pathway,HIF-1 Signal pathways and other anti-inflammatory related pathways play an anti-inflammatory effect, further verifying the scientific nature of the folk traditional use of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum to treat gastroenteritis and as a veterinary medicine to treat livestock gastroenteritis. It can also provide a new path and direction for further in-depth research on the anti-inflammatory mechanism of Cratoxylum formosum ssp.pruniflorum.The results of the research have been compiled and recorded, and the knowledge of the folk traditional utilization of the scalp wood is sorted and recorded, and the resource distribution of the red bud wood has been explored and predicted, and the material basis of the red bud wood medicinal value has been initially clarified. It confirms the scientific of traditional medicinal knowledge of Cratoxylum, and provides reference for future resource protection, development and utilization of this genus.
