Polarization holography,which can records not only amplitude and phase but also polarization of a signal wave,is an attractive branch of holography.Because the traditional holographic materials have no response to polarization state,in polarization holography a special material called photoinduced anisotropic material was used to record the polarization of light wave field.However,due to the deference of the material's mechanism,we need a brand new theory to depict the process of polarization holography.Since 1970 s when the concept of polarization holography was proposed,two main theories of polarization holography have been developed.In the early period,Jones matrix was introduced into the description of this field.However,due to the limitation of Jones matrix,the prediction can be conducted only in the condition with a small crossing angle which is known as paraxial approximation.Till recently,a new tensor theory,which calculate the variation of polarization holographic materials with dielectric tensor,was proposed.In this circumstance,people can calculate out the polarization state of a diffraction wave with an arbitrary crossing angle.Moreover,some quite impressive phenomenon appeared under non-paraxial approximation.In this thesis,based on the tensor theory,we focused our research on the requirement of circularly polarized signal's faithful reconstruction under large crossing angle.We discovered that under traditional recording condition,it is indispensable to satisfy a strict exposure requirement for the faithful reconstruction of diffraction wave.Thus,we solved a serials of equations and proposed a more accessible recording condition which can eliminate the exposure requirement by picking a particularly polarized reference wave.Furthermore,it was found when the signal is circularly polarized,the diffraction efficiency can be precisely manipulated by changing the reading wave's polarization state.To testify our theory,we constructed a polarization holographic system.And we confirmed the correctness of our theory by recording the polarization state changing with the increase of exposure energy,and the variation of diffraction efficiency under reference wave's polarization.
