In recent years, people's living standards have been greatly improved, but also brought about a lot of health problems, obesity is one of them. The obesity problem of college students is becoming more and more serious, which has aroused widespread concern in the society. The traditional exercise to lose weight mostly adopts continuous aerobic training, but the training process is boring, most obese college students are difficult to adhere to.At the same time,Tabata training with its short training time, good results as a new popular way to lose weight by the majority of students. Both continuous aerobic training and Tabata training have better effects on the health intervention of obese people. However, the comparison of the two kinds of training on the cardiopulmonary endurance and body composition of obese college students remains to be studied. This paper aims to explore the difference in the effect of Tabata training and continuous aerobic training on the cardiopulmonary endurance and body composition of obese college students and improve their physical health through the 10-week Tabata training and continuous aerobic training intervention. Methods: 40 obese college students(BMI ? 24)from Qingdao Agricultural University Langu Campus were selected as the experimental subjects. They were given Tabata training group(n=20)and continuous aerobic training group(n=20)for 10 weeks(3 days/week).Tabata training consisted of two training stages: in the first stage,75% ?85% maximum heart rate(HRpeak)exercise 20 s followed by 50% HRpeak intermittent recovery for 10 s,lasting for 8 groups; The second stage consisted of 85-95% HRpeak exercise for 20 seconds followed by 70%HRpeak intermittent recovery for 10 s,lasting for 8 groups. The continuous cardio group exercised for 30 minutes at 60% to 70%HRpeak.Both groups had 5 minutes of preparation and preparation. The changes of 8indexes including 800/1000 m score, body weight, body mass index, body fat, percentage of body fat,waist-hip ratio, skeletal muscle and basic metabolism of subjects in the two groups before and after exercise were recorded, and the experimental results were statistically analyzed. Results :(1)In terms of cardiopulmonary endurance, the score of 800/1000 m of obese college students in Tabata training group and continuous aerobic training group was significantly improved, both of which had statistical significance, and the improvement range of the two groups was also statistically significant.(2)In terms of body weight and body mass index, the weight and body mass index of obese college students in Tabata training group decreased(P<0.01),which was statistically significant. The average weight of obese male and obese female college students in the continuous aerobic training group decreased by 3.32 kg and 2.98 kg,respectively, but there was no statistical difference. The body mass index of female obese college students did not decrease, and there was no statistical difference.Body mass index of obese male college students decreased(27.30±3.09kg/m2 vs 25.28±2.22kg/m2,P<0.01),which was statistically significant. There was statistical significance between the two groups.(3)In terms of body fat, body fat percentage and waist-hip ratio,Tabata training group showed significant decrease in body fat, body fat percentage and waist-hip ratio(P<0.01),all of which were statistically significant. The body fat and waist-hip ratio of the obese college students in the sustained aerobic training group were also decreased in different degrees(P<0.05),and the body fat of the obese female college students was significantly different(P<0.01).The body fat of male obese college students decreased(25.29 ± 3.19 kg vs 21.89 ± 3.91 kg,P<0.05),which was statistically significant. The percentage of body fat of female obese college students decreased by 0.55 kg in the continuous aerobic training group, but there was no statistical difference. There was no significant difference in body fat between the two groups after training(P =0.063).(4)In the aspects of skeletal muscle and basic metabolism,Tabata training group significantly improved the skeletal muscle and basic metabolism of obese college students(P<0.01),which was statistically significant. The basal metabolism of female obese college students in the sustained aerobic training group was not significantly improved(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference. The skeletal muscle of obese college students and the basic metabolism of obese male college students were improved to varying degrees, and the improvement was statistically significant. However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in skeletal muscle changes after training. Conclusion :(1)Both 10 weeks of Tabata training and continuous aerobic training improved the 800/1000 m score of obese college students, but Tabata training had more obvious effect.(2)10 weeks of Tabata training can reduce the weight of obese college students, but the effect of continuous aerobic training is not obvious.(3)The effect of10-week Tabata training on the improvement of weight, body mass index, percentage of body fat,waist-hip ratio, basal metabolism and body fat of obese male college students was significantly better than that of continuous aerobic training.(4)Both Tabata training and continuous aerobic training for 10 weeks improved the skeletal muscle of obese undergraduates with similar effects.
