As high-grade textile fibers,wool is used for medium thick garments.In recent years,with the deepening of people's understanding of wool,it has been found that wool has the characteristics of moisture-absorbing non-sticky body and cooling sensation,which makes wool fabrics gradually expand from traditional medium-thickness garments to shirts and summer clothes,and becomes increasingly lighter and thinner.However,the flake structure on the surface of wool fibers makes the wool fabrics naturally hydrophobic,which results in poor moisture absorption and quick drying properties.Especially in hot summer or after a large number of body movements,sweat can not be discharged in time,which is easy to make people feel hot and uncomfortable.At present,the physical and chemical methods are mainly used to improve the moisture absorption and quick drying performance of wool fabrics.The chemical aspect mainly starts with the finishing of fabrics.Although the effect is obvious,there are problems such as high cost,poor durability,and environmental pollution.The physical aspect is mainly from blending,interweaving and fabric structure design.Although the physical method has improved the moisture absorption and quick drying performance of the fabric in a limited range while satisfying other administration conditions,its effect is more durable.Natural cotton fiber clothing has been loved and sought after by people.However,cotton fibers are prone to sticking to the skin after a lot of moisture absorption,and the wet fitness is not comfortable.In addition,cotton fiber is not easy to dry after absorbing moisture,It is uncomfortable to attach to the body surface for a long time after absorbing moisture.Cotton-wool blend fabrics can not only overcome the disadvantages of cotton fabrics that are not easy to dry,but also can solve or improve the problem that pure wool fabrics are not easy to absorb moisture.At present,although there are many cotton-wool blend textiles on the market,there are few relevant theoretical studies,and there is no theoretical guidance for the development of cotton-wool blend and comfortable fabrics.At present,most companies develop cotton-wool blend products with experience.This paper discusses the use of physical methods to improve the wet comfort of cotton and wool fabrics.It is consistent with the trend of developing green textiles not only from raw materials but also from processing technology.In order to develop green high-comfortable cotton-wool blend products,this paper improves and optimizes the structure of cotton-wool blend fabrics to achieve the purpose of improving the wet comfort of cotton-wool blend fabrics.Therefore,in this paper,we will systematically study the wet comfort performance of cotton-wool fabrics from the following aspects:(1)Wicking performance of cotton and wool mixed yarns;(2)Liquid water dynamic transfer performance of cotton-wool blend fabric;(3)Quick drying of cotton-wool blend fabrics;(4)Wet body attachment of cotton wool fabrics.The research work of the thesis provides theoretical guidance and experimental reference for the development of wet and comfortable cotton-wool blend fabricsThe wicking performance of cotton-wool blend yarns is mainly to test and analyze the wicking performance of cotton-wool plied yarn and blend yarns,exploring the interactions between cotton and wool fibers and the factors that affect the wicking properties of cotton wool fiber.Experimental results show:(1)The wicking performance of pure wool yarns and their plied yarns is very poor.After mixing cotton yarn,the wicking performance of the mixed yarns is significantly improved.And the more uniform the plying of the cotton wool yarn,the better the wicking performance of the ply yarn.(2)Under the same conditions as other parameters,there is the best wicking performance of wool content(3)The blending ratio,twisting degree and linear density of cotton-wool blend yarn have a significant effect on the yarn wicking performance.The correlation of wool content was greater than the twisting degree was greater than the linear density.(4)Under the same conditions as the other yarns,there is an optimum twist making the yarn has excellent wicking performance.In the aspect of dynamic transfer performance and quick-drying performance of cotton wool blended fabrics,five kinds of cotton-wool blend knitted fabrics were collected and 18 kinds of cotton-wool woven fabrics were self-woven.In this paper,Liquid water dynamic experiment was used to comprehensively evaluate liquid water transfer performance,moisture absorption and fast drying properties of needle/woven fabrics,and the factors that influence the liquid water transfer performance,moisture absorption and fast drying properties of woven fabrics were evaluated by using grey correlation analysis.Then static dry-fast test method was used to measure the moisture permeability and water evaporation rate of the fabrics to explore the fast drying properties of the needle/woven fabrics.The experimental results of dynamic transfer of liquid water in cotton-wool blend fabrics show: The liquid water transfer performance of the cotton-wool blend knitted fabric is superior to that of the woven fabric.The fiber composition and the degree of tightness of the fabric have a great influence on the liquid water transfer performance of the fabric.In addition,through the analysis of the cotton-wool blend knitted fabrics,the fabric thickness and the square meter weight also have a great influence on the liquid water transfer performance of the fabric.Through the analysis of cotton-wool woven fabrics,we can see that the effect of fabric organization on liquid water transfer performance,moisture absorption and fast drying properties is also very significant.The satin fabric has better liquid water transfer performance,moisture absorption and fast drying properties than the reverse surface;Too much or too little tightness of the fabric is not conducive to the liquid water transfer performance,moisture absorption and fast drying performance of the woven fabric;Increasing the wool content within a certain range can enhance liquid water transfer performance,moisture absorption and fast drying properties of the fabric.The static quick-drying experiment of cotton-wool blend fabrics show: Fast-drying performance of cotton-wool blend knitted fabrics is superior to that of woven fabrics.The effect of wool content on fabric fast drying performance is not very significant.The tightness of the fabric and the weight of the square meter have a great influence on the quick-drying properties of the fabric.Twist has little effect on the moisture permeability and has a greater influence on the evaporation rate of water.From the results of the woven fabrics,it was found that the fabric structure has a significant effect on the fast-drying properties.The main aspect of wet adhesion of cotton-wool blend fabric is to test the cotton-blend knitted fabric and 6#-11# woven fabric,studying the wet contact comfort of the fabric wetted.Experimental results show: The correlation between the maximum adhesion force of the fabric and the adhesion work is large.The correlation between structural parameters and knitted fabric is not the same as that of woven fabric,but the thickness of fabric has great influence on the wetting comfort of woven and knitted fabrics.Wool content has a significant effect on the wet fit properties of both types of fabrics,especially for woven fabrics.
