Muffler is one of the most important parts of motorcycle.The performance of muffler not only affects the size of motorcycle noise but also has a greater impact on the engine power,fuel consumption,torque and other properties,so the improvement in production and quality of muffler is a strategic goal for the survival and development of enterprises.The core of this paper is to solve the problem that the welding equipment of muffler line cannot be used.The main research content includes:The reasons for the failure of assembly welding equipment can be summed up as two points:the poor welding quality of the key process and the poor quality of the positioning parts.The purpose of this paper is to solve the problem of welding quality in the process.The main solutions are the modification the original process,the priority the welding of key processes,and the avoidance of the effects of welding accumulated deformation caused by other processes.Design a new motorcycle muffler automated welding line.The function areas of the production line are divided according to the beat time,and the layout of the automatic welding production line of muffler is determined.Therefore,pave the way for the enterprise to gradually introduce automatic equipment in the future.For the key process that leads to the inaccessible use of welding equipment,the welding tooling for this process and processes relating to it are redesigned to ensure its welding accuracy.For the key process that causes the failure of welding equipment,redesign the welding tooling of this process and processes relating to it to ensure its welding precision.The new fixture has been processed and tested,and then the results of the test are analyzed.In order to verify the rationality of the new fixture,the finite element analysis of the welding process was carried out on the basis of the new tooling.The temperature field and stress field analysis of the welding parts are carried out by the thermal elastoplastic finite element method.The result of the calculation of temperature field is applied to the structure field of welding parts,and then the stress field distribution of welding parts is obtained.Finally,the welding accuracy of the relative positions of the two parts to be welded is obtained.The calculation results show that the welding quality of the new fixture meets the assembly accuracy requirements of the assembly welding equipment.
