In order to solve the problems of loose,thin thickness and low film forming efficiency of multi-layer brazing grinding wheel oxide film,electrolytic in-process dressing(ELID)grinding fluid containing carbon nanotubes(CNTs)was proposed and prepared for electrolytic dressing and grinding of multi-layer brazing grinding wheel.The effect of CNTs on the film-forming performance of electrolytic grinding fluid was studied systematically,and the optimal CNTs concentration formula of film-forming performance was obtained.The effects of CNTs grinding fluid and CNTs-free grinding fluid on the electrolytic grinding performance of multi-layer brazing grinding wheel were compared and analyzed through the grinding experiment of ultra-fine grain cemented carbide ELID grinding.The main work and innovations of this paper are as follows:1.In order to analyze the electrophoretic deposition performance of CNTs on multi-layer brazing grinding wheel,the dynamic electrophoresis deposition experiment was carried out with CNTs electrophoresis fluid with excellent suspension stability.Under the action of 0.3 mm interpole gap and 90 V pulse voltage,the surface of electrodeposition film formed on the surface of multi-layer brazing grinding wheel was smooth.At high power SEM,CNTs was filamentous and deposited on the surface of copper-based brazing grinding wheel.2.A new type of ELID grinding fluid containing CNTs was prepared by using uniform and stable dispersed CNTs suspension as the base liquid.It is found that the electrolytic oxide film containing CNTs is formed by the combined action of CNTs electrophoresis deposition and grinding wheel binder electrolysis.With the increase of CNTs concentration,the electrolytic equilibrium current value and the thickness of electrolytic oxide film increase,and the adhesion strength increases at first and then decreases with the increase of CNTs concentration.On the premise of obtaining proper oxide film thickness,good compactness and adhesion,the grinding fluid containing 1.2 g/L CNTs is used as the electrolyte formula with better film forming performance.3.CNTs has obvious effect on the electrolytic grinding performance of multi-layer brazing grinding wheel.The grinding experiments of ultra-fine grain cemented carbide were carried out with CNTs grinding fluid and CNTs-free grinding fluid.The experimental results show that CNTs as a kind of oxide film reinforcing material,is uniformly distributed in the electrolytic oxide film by electrophoresis deposition,which effectively enhances the film forming quality of the electrolytic oxide film of the multi-layer brazing grinding wheel,improves the elastic shock absorption and compressive properties of the oxide film and the grinding and polishing mechanism,reduces the grinding force in the grinding process,improves the grinding surface quality.
