SWOT Analysis Of Shale Gas Exploration And Development Field Based On Patent Data

In recent years,because of the increasingly severe energy problem in the world,countries all over the world have begun to search for and develop new energy resources,and China is also one of them.Shale gas,as a new energy source with abundant reserves in China,has great strategic significance for its development and utilization in the future development of our country and the national energy security.China's shale gas reserves are extremely rich,but shale gas exploration and development technology is still in its infancy.Based on the patent data in the field of shale gas exploration and development technology,this paper first analyzes the patent data in the field of shale gas exploration and development in China and the United States by quantitative analysis and comparative analysis.According to the analysis results,the patent value,domestic and foreign patent market environment,technology research direction and other angles are compared.Secondly,on the basis of the patent analysis of shale gas exploration and development in China and the United States,the advantages,opportunities,shortcomings and clear threats are found in the existing research process of shale gas exploration and development in China.The SWOT analysis matrix is set up to combine the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats existing in shale gas exploration and development research in China,and to formulate corresponding strategic countermeasures(SO strategy,WO strategy,ST strategy,WT strategy).The conclusions and recommendations resulting from the study are as follows:Conclusion: compared with the United States,China(1)started late related technology;(2)entered the international market late,market share is low;(3)in recent years,overseas enterprises bring advanced technology into China for patent layout increased year by year;(4)the main applicants in China are single;5)the average patent value of the main applicants is low and the operation mechanism of the patent market is not perfect;(6)the investment in shale gas exploration and development technology in China is small.Suggestions :(1)seize the opportunity to promote technological innovation,strengthen cooperation with foreign technology,and use the mature technology in similar fields of our country for reference;(2)increase capital investment,strengthen personnel training and improve supporting facilities,improve the protection of independent research and development technology and create competitive advantage;(3)formulate various policies to help private enterprises enter the shale gas industry for development,expand market space in multiple cooperation(4)lay out the global market and promote the development of technology internationalization;(5)study the advanced intellectual property management system of foreign enterprises and improve the level of intellectual property management of enterprises;Improve the operation mechanism of patent market and strengthen the combination of production,study and research.The innovations of this paper:(1)Integrating patent analysis into the process of SWOT analysis,which can better utilize the advantages of both analysis methods.(2)The information contained in the patent data in the field of shale gas exploration and development in China and the United States is taken as the main object for comparative analysis.
